Do that sometime in june/july.....Put you on some atlantics Solo... I've also become very fond of the micro tubes.....Surprised me to tell you the least.... Both spoons and minnow baits. Each day the lures have changed. Pretty much just been switching lures until we started to get onto something. Ya man that could be a blast! Wish I could but I have to work in the AM and then its the first Xmas party of the year for me tomorrow evening....I might try the rapids sometime early next week if the weather is descent. Thanks for all the nice responses!

The weather here in the Soo was warm but now has extremely cooled off. Earlier in the week we had light flurries/rain mix. The tribs have been dead as I think most have packed it in for the season. Perfect! The spawn bite has been great but since we got the cold snap I have been using plastics regularly under my float. The trib I fished mon/tues afternoon was low and very clear but produced bites both afternoons. Nice fish in the 22-23 inch range were caught... I had a family member remind me they wanted a fresh rainbow trout and I needed some fresh roe as I was runnin low so i kept this nice hen that had a plump belly on her. A healthy 25 inches.. a heck of a lot of shakers....Been catching tons up north this year...... The St. Marys has been freezing but worth it. Downrigging has been producing the big bites and bouncing roe passes the time usually connecting with the smaller fish. We have been successful on every outing the past 2 weeks in the boat catching steelhead, cohos and a few OOS species. Two fish broke us off this week and they will haunt me for a few more days but i'll get over it! Typical afternoons in the boat yielded about 4 hook ups with quality fish. Today Few days ago My cousin Teds PB St Marys Steelie (Who is a new member and hasnt made a post yet ) His friends first ever St Marys Steel (caught today) The cohos have still been active as Pikie had mentioned to me. Thanks for the pin man...I love it!!!! Typical ugly late fall ho...gross I like em a bit better when they look like this Most of the females we have been landing have not spawned yet. To my surprise they are still supporting fat bellies full of eggs. Im not sure if I will be back in boat this year but I will be hitting the tribs or rapids again. TDunn

I agree I know they do spook fish....sometimes..... But I am also sure the noise of a flasher does too.... It great when the fish dont mind they are on TV tho! TDunn Edit: kinda getting off topic here....Stoty my vote is for a Aqua view...Hope you are happy with whichever you get

Dara, For our area I find it very useful for mainly whitefish, steelhead and perch. I have used it for other species but not very often. I do bring it when fishing other species to help locate structure tho. What I began doing last year is setting up the cam on my set line outside the shack. With this set up I can constantly watch my set line outside from the inside of the shack while using a flasher inside. It is pretty wild using the cam for whities at the pier, leighs bay or up north for whities/perch/steelhead. TDunn

What Johnny said!!! Customer service is amazing. I shipped my view off for repairs and had it back in under 2 weeks fixed and shipped for free.....If you get a UW cam you cant go wrong with an aqua view. Oh and purchase the tripod....its worth the extra $20.... TDunn Edit: It was my fault the cam broke by the way. I will never take it through rough terrain in a sleigh behind a snowmachine ever again! Buy or find something to use as a case. i use a shimano soft tackle bag I had no use for anymore.

Hit up the St Marys River rapids this afternoon. I was on a solo mission looking for some steelie action. I caught all but one fish bouncing spawn or pinkies today. One small rainbow came on a cleo as you will see. I gave flies and white twisters an honest go today but couldnt get a hit on them. ice on the ponds.... The river.....could definilty smell the salmon today.... The fish... Underwater videos Release small bow Bigger bow release another small one The rapids at the end of the day Can't complain about the afternoon, it was nice and relaxing.....but I hope the size of the fish improve next time! My cousin Ted was up in Hawk Junction this past weekend hunting moose. Although he never shot the Bull he was very excited to be part of the process.... The bull had a spread of 51 inches but I don't know the weight. From the pictures and from what he has told me it was a bit on the light side for the size of the rack. Anyways heres a few pictures for the hunters on OFC.... A close encounter with a cow I hope to be just as successful this year on my first bow hunt for deer on St. joesph Island......keepin my fingers crossed TDunn
