Coelacanth!! bowfin it is. I've heard the term dogfish as well. Feisty buggers though. I've had some run ins with em. Like Roy said. Don't lip em. Their mouthparts are made for crushing. I think I read somewhere that their bite pressure is the strongest of any fresh water fish! I still think they're pretty though. ahhh lookit the little thing.. it's soo cute! HD

He wasn't exactly lining fish with marshmellows. I can see why you would think it's a salmo salar because of the markings, but young jack kings (this fish is probably a year old) also have these markings.. I'm pretty positive that it's a chinny. Anyone care to back me up on this one? HD

Glad to have you on board Warthaug! Ferry's $6.75 return, dogs are free.. So no worries there mate. However, we tend to do better at the islands in areas that are less treaded by land lovers... so waders and/or a float tube are a good idea. We also hit it up on week days, when there's less traffic.. Center Island is like the meca for picnikers. Me and the Billy will be there after work Friday night. As mentioned, I can be coaxed with man sodas and smokables.. Hope to see out there sometime. cheers H to the D
