Order hooks from luremaking.com, I like the mustad ultrapoint, best hook for the price. I use automotive air brush paint and seal it with epoxy

Yes, still trying to forget that name myself. Send me a pm terry, im sure I can help you out. Dont really make them in the masses any more, just no time with work/kids, and id rather be fishing myself with my time off, but I still make a batch or two every year

Had 2 flashers, had a vex, sold it went with a new ice 55 hummingbird, used it 2 seasons got rid of it. Went back to a lowrance elite 5. Now that's a machine. Way way more versatile for the same price.

Have not been impressed with legend. Our boat is 4 years old and has two bad leaks in it. The aluminum has started to tear and the dealership has completely fluffed us off saying that its not covered under warranty. Weve never run the boat ashore or ever hit a rock, say its due to loading on the trailer. Not impressed

south end is busy and i try to avoid it as much as i can, the commute sucks if you dont getaway early enough, if you leave before 5 30 your good almost anywhere, after that it gets busy quick! nice place though, great fishing within an hour any direction -
i've used an Ikea bag for years. work excellent! i have 2 drift socks but half the time i find myself throwing the ikea bag over first!

close, it hit the 20lbs mark on the scale, then made sure we took our time to fully revive it! was the best fight i've had with a laker i think ever! been a good year for big fish out there, we've got 6 over 15lbs so far in the last few weeks! all swimming for someone else to enjoy! Sinker, let me know if you want to get out and have some fun for an evening in next few weeks!

Was definately a great day out! Great to finally meet you and even better to get out fishing! we'll have to do it again for sure! -
be careful with that one Jay. your still allowed on the property if the landowner gives you permission to be on it when there is a no tresspassing sign up! If the owner of the property puts up a no hunting or no fishing sign up then no one, including the owner is allowed to hunt or fish! Its a stupid law, but I know of a landowner that got charged for just that! If he puts up a no tresspassing sign and gives you the go ahead the its all good.

has it only been 2 months? i seem to come across this picture it seems once a week! -
we had issues with our x27, brand new and wasnt able to read bottom in anything over 40fow, took the unit down, with the transducer, told them I thought it was the transducer, said the unit itself worked fine. they did there little test, said that some of the settings had been changed and that was the problem the transducer was perfectly fine! 1 1/2 hours later, i get back home, instal the graph, go fishing! guess what. same problem! trying to get ahold of anyone at lowrance for customer service is an absolute nightmare! long long wait times! had to take the unit back again! they took the unit, did some more tests, tried to tell me it was the settings again. said they reset everything and everything was working perfectly fine! including the transducer! came home, went fishing, still the same problem! Dad got on the horn and started making phonecalls. after and hour long wait on the phone, he started punching in extention numbers just trying to get ahold of anyone possible! turns out he got ahold of the manager and had a good chat with him! the guy understood that we had basically been without the use of our graph for almost a month! he upgraded the unit to the x28 for us when we brought the unit back for the 3rd time! got home and gee. guess what. new graph and the same thing was happening! loosing bottom over 40fow. took everything back and was going to leave it there and go buy something else! The guy gave us a new transducer, guess what, problem solved! now I love the graph, love lowrance products! but I truely believe there service SUCKS ASS! we didnt have the use of our graph, even though it was only 2 months old for over a month. wasnt impressed!

ive had it happen more than once! I remember afew years ago up near huntsville we were sitting back watching the lines when 2 sledders i guess thought it would be hilarious to boot right beside us and take out 3 of our lines. completely destroyed one of my fav rod and reel combo's and one of my buddies tip ups got caught in one of there skis and ended up whereever the sledders decided to stop! Woulda loved to have seen one of there sleds break down, they woulda been in for a beating of there lives! Absolutly no respect out there for some people's stuff.

OH NO!!! I know how much you loved that little furry guy!

I was there a month ago, we went out with a guide named ed kuntze, flyfishingixtapa.com and he was pretty good! an american guy that you can actually talk to, lots of big jack crevale and needlefish right in zihuatanejo, and lots of sailfish and marlin around! call ahead though to book a charter boat, no mater who you choose, even though the town is very slow and not busy this year with tourists, alot of the fishing boats get booked up early! i had a post here last month on "A day of giants" good report of the area and some pics you can check out!
