  3. Best of luck! Princess Margaret has wonderful facities from what Ive heard. My mother is battling with lung/liver cancer and has crippled her. Having meals/food dropped off is such a huge help! There's a lot of caring helpful people In this world! Keep fighting!
  4. Yea. Quite common. I've been in the canoe out there on February 10th before!fished opener from the boat many time!
  5. I live 5 min from the launch. Boat goes right back into garage where I'll throw the heat on for a week. Can't quite come to winterizing it yet this year.
  6. Made it out this afternoon for afew hours. Left the house at 2 and was on water by 2 15. Went out to the first spot and looked around for some fish on the graph. Started marking some good fish so dropped the anchor. Fished a half hour fighting the wind and waves. With no fish or hits we moved to a calmer area I knew of. Drove all around in search mode for abit. Didn't mark much in the r0 to 70 for range but found a good concentration at the 90 foot mark. Dropped anchor again and started to jig. Working my jig for 10 min or so and wham... fish on!!! Loose it half way up. 5 min later I hook another. A nice eater lake trout! Then managed to get afew whitefish topside while shaking off afew at the side of the boat, lost 3 or 4 half way up and missed some hits. Was back at the launch at 4 30 and home before 5. Was a great start to 2016!
  7. Sorry to hear. Always a tough thing to deal with
  8. Lol walleye chop indeed! Wicked body of water.
  9. I have no problem with someone getting a ticket for distracted driving. I think it's great to be honest. But it really pisses me off when I pull up beside a cop that's on his phone or busy on the laptop that's sitting beside him... twit for tat I guess but I live very close to a cop shop and see it almost on a daily basis.
  10. Nice!!!I love hitting a fish on the last drift! Looks like a fresh one too... we'll done Brian
  11. The 2 of you are welcome to use my 12' tinner... just throw it in the back of your truck and off you go. I'll even set u up with afew of my newest jigs to test out!
  12. I believe you should check page 77 of the regs... over 90 lakes open year round for brookies in zone 15
  13. The canoe is beside the tinner... so that would be an easy swap... Florida is alright but I'd way rather be speck fishing!!!
  14. If I wasn't in Florida till sat I'd be all over it. The 12 foot tinners sitting there already to go
  15. You must have taken an extra week or two off just to write this report! Unreal bud.... an adventure of a lifetime for sure!

  21. Happy go fishing charters... Calum Johnston.. he's on Lake simcoe and does bass trout and perch
  22. Thanks Bunk... I know I don't post near as much as I used to. I kinda figured as much when I went on the actual computer for the first time in 4 years to write this one up. Lol In all honesty this was the first real trip I've done in quite some time. Been tough with the young kids, just don't have the time to get out. I'm anxiously waiting for my daughter to get a little bit older so I can start taking both the young ones out.
  23. Lmao.... awsome!!
  24. Yea the gas we burned was insane... our boat had the twin 200's and the other 2 boats had twin 250's and they averaged 600 liters of gas a day!
  25. Dad was in winter harbor last year and did not do very well either, our guide had guided winter harbor for 10 years and said he'd never go back. Has guided port hardy now the last 7 years and can't believe the difference in the weather and waves. Seams everyday in winter harbor it's 25nw wind. Biggest hali dad got last year was 30 lbs and did not get a limit of salmon... so this year was a MUCH better trip for Dad!
