  1. Cool thanks. I am aware of Dipsey Divers but I have never used the wire aspect.
  2. Great repot. Nicely done. Can I ask what you mean by wire divers?
  3. Man....I am so happy to hear that this is common. I was thinking that I had a problem or something. I mean, other then the obvious I really thought it would go away but it never does. I find it the worst with Steelheading because you have to pick your river and the desicion can be boom or bust. Those nights are rough. The other types of fishing arent that much better though. Have a good weekend all!
  4. Beauty fish man. One of those days you wish that you had someone else to take the picture eh?!
  5. Good call on the electric. I have lost a few too many large fish not being able to get the cannon ball up in time when fishing 100ft + and only one or two guys on board. This was not in my boat, because I have electric and would advise nothing else. Cheers.
  6. Im glad you found a place Mike. Not as glad as you I am sure though.....Attawapiskat here you come! I dont know anything about that type of furnace but I could get any info that you want about it so let me know, what you need to know lol.
  7. I was in the same boat with Troutfitters. I was more then willing to give them my fly fishing related business and my first time in there I got treated like I was a 5 year old and that I should just give up fly fishing if I didnt know the answers to the 2 questions I had
  8. Nicely done!! Thanks for sharing
  9. Mike, I just read this now. GREAT report. All three of you gentlemen are troupers! That is about as far from "fairweather fishermen" as you can get. Thanks for the post and I love your "hardcoreness"!!
  10. Gentlmen....... Thanks for sharing. Those are true beauties.
  11. Cool Vid man. Looks like you had a great opener.
  12. Im a fellow fly slinger.... I think there are a bunch of us on here, but it doesnt seem to get a lot of discussion on these boards.
  13. Great post MJL!! That is a beauty to end the season on!! I am fighting between ending the season for Steel or not. I think I am done......then again
  14. Yeah it was fun. first fish of the day too. We actually lost one similar size 1hr into the fight later that day, there was a knot in the line I brought up this exact picture to our guide when I was there because I was gullible (not sure how to spell) enough to believe that it was caught in Lake Huron at the time. He told me that it was caught in the Fraser in 2000 or 2001 and that it has circulated everywhere. It was caught 1km up river from the Mission bridge.
  15. I have seen that pic and heard that it was caught in Southampton, Ontario as well as Wasaga Beach. That one has been around and reported everywhere. Since were talking about Sturgeon....Last July, Fraser River. 5ppl, 2.5hrs, 9ft exactly 480lbs. Ive never felt power like this in my life. It was intense.
  16. Cool! I have never busted out the fly rod for steelhead but I do want to.
  17. Looks like fun. Stuck at a conference right now or else I would be chasing some of those fish Thanks for sharing.
