the zr 500 has powervalves.. but btw if your looking to get to back lakes with lots of deep snow may i recommend something with a long track like an artic cat powder special 580
my buddy has a zr cross country 800 and loves his, he has 8000 miles on it and besides normal maintenance its pretty reliable, only thing personally a 500cc i find is borderline for me performance wise,id take 60cc and up but i guess its personal taste
if you have a little time and you are up for camping a night or 2 there is the zec st patrice north of sheenboro on the quebec side...nice lakers specs and walleye and bass there.
here in my zone its simple.. bow hunting for 2 weeks end of september-beggining of october, then rifle 2 first weeks of november, then lastweek of november its black powder then its done...i wish we would have a shotgun season like you guys
was out yesterday and today...lotssss of females eating the carrots and apples but the 2 big bucks roaming our terittory seem to only come out once were gone and its pitch black out!!! dammit i hope he makes a mistake soon.. still 14 days of hunting to go
il have to agree for 3500$ yourself a kick ass sled..in that price range look for tundras, summits, mountain max, artic cat ext, basically anything with a 136 inch track and longer
ohh ya i know i get my daily reports from my buddy that lives at le valinouet..only 4 inches but its coming, my first ride is next week in the parc des laurentides ...there calling for 20-30cms of snow up there this week, good enough for me to break in the sled on the logging roads
i know the mont valin area quite well..i do most of my mountain riding there..i should be heading up there in the next 14 days to ride, maybe il seee you in the mountains oneday!
lesson of this post in go longtrack so you can get to those back lakes lol
ive never had problems with my liquid cooled snowmobiles........i find on warmer spring days with the fan cooled engines tend to overheat faster than liquid cooled
if i were you id buy myself a longtrack especially for them back lakes.. if your going with a scandic id take the 550,or the tundra 300cc. if not bombardier you have yamaha with the vk profesional. i have a 151 inch track on my machine and wouldent get anything smaller.
very amazing town..i ride my snowmobile alot there in the winter..last winter they got so much snow a kid got burried in an avalanche from playing on one of them hills
i use stren gold when jjigging for eyes usually works really amazing but when they get line shy i take out my rod thats spooled with 6lb flurocarbon and works wonders.....i think it depends on alot of different factors
im sure youll be good with that legend 500....she looks very clean indeed, if only my new yamaha could show up soon at the dealer so i can sleep with it every night lol
the parent road is in much better condition than the clova road, especially since the saw mill has been reopened in parent, one might call it a real highway
