pike don't like rapids so before the canal was built they didn't run the rapids, so it kept them from moving plus pike, while they do move to different locations around a lake they keep the route for most of their life they spawn in the same river each year and in many cases the same spot, they are not natural wanderers. So the move into the kawarthas has been slow

if you are good with a knife then a decent fillet knife is the way to go but an Electric knife can make a bad butcher into a not too bad cutter.... I am good with a knife but when I tried the electric it cut my cutting time in half and I did a better job

I disagree with you and I did a couple of years in the armed forces after high school but that was a personal choice and would fight to keep it that way

I was with a guy using them they seem to work well caught fish but stink...you smell it and it will remind you of a smell that every man fears....... everyone that smelled it said the same thing

in ontario they are pickerel till the hit 6 pounds then they are walleye at 15 pounds they are called freaking hogs

at times they work great but other days they will not bite them I have found that on days fish are not biting anything, if I make about 10 cast with a rattle bait then put on a slow moving bait or plastic the fish will bite they seems to get the fish looking

I do disagree with the report I have read other reports that say they dive to 35 ft and have been seen eating fish up to 2lbs including bass pike and walleye and have seen pictures to back it up your report keeps stating that fish numbers were declining before the return of the bird, so they are not responsible well maybe but having 1500 birds eating a 2lb fish each day sure isn't going to help the fish population ....
