  1. again every day this icefishing season on simcoe people were reporting the ice onsafe so again does that mean no one should have been on simcoe all year and if they were on simcoe anytime during the season they were morons... the only difference that day was the wind..and if there was no wind they would not have a problem...... I don't have a problem with them being charged, but I think most activities that have some danger should be charged for rescue... so by your logic No but what about driving in the fog with your eyes closed at 200 mph, and not pay for the rescue you are saying I can break the law and speed as long as I keep my eyes open..(the fishermen did not break any laws) again hut rental operators had huts out when unsafe ice reports were being made cops , who by the way have less expertize on ice conditions then the average fisherman so we have it right you are saying every time anyone reports unsafe ice, people should say off it.... well maybe if we have an expert do the reports...
  2. well I think they will have to give us a pay scale for rescue, just so we know..so we can decide if it is worth the risk before we do things.. ice fishing....200 a rescue downhill skiing ..sure you know people get hurt and have to be rescued snowmobiling yup every year rescuers have to go into the bush and rescue them so atving too hunting yup hiking oh yeah far more people rescued the icefishing paintballing sure camping could be bungee jumping....no that seems perfectly safe..so that should be a free rescue..LOL now driving in the fog...every foggy day people get rescued from their cars...bill them rain snow ice ..not safe bill them and just for the record, every day this icefish season, such as it was, the ice on simcoe was reported unsafe... so how could businesses have huts out if it was deemed unsafe and if it is deemed unsafe should there be a law that makes it illegal to go on the ice.... so what was my point I don't know I rambled so much I forgot LOL if icefishing rescue is billed then almost all rescues should be billed....is driving in the fog any safer then fishing on the ice...
  3. quit that kind of talk seamen and fishermen just don't mix
  4. I think that is what FRANKIE65 was saying, that it's not like facebook and he doesn't want to read someones tweet every time they fart or stop to buy a coffee..you don't get that on facebook

  6. Oh GOD, please give me the strength to not ever to on twitter face book is bad enough
  7. no they are mine I had them run internet out there so I could use my ipod while fishing now that it's installed I will take you up on the invite to go river fishing LOL I have no idea what it would be
  8. don't quote me on this I might be making the whole thing up or have the facts wrong but I had heard maybe a year ago that Lowrance was in court about the design of the LSS1 and they had to change it to meet the patent rules...and nothing said that they were making it better just changing it....to keep humminbird happy so the LSS1 may be better then the LSS2, except for the new longer transducer which is better so I hear
  9. HDS 5 is too small for structure scan, I added a HDS8, now it's great
  10. I think she is worried about line twist, I noticed the snap swivel on the line LOL
  11. well because he in his first post said he was fishing there off the dock then well don't fish there is a swimming area,,, good for the goose good for the gander....and i don;t buy plus I have never I have never seen structure in s swimming area, except maybe a dock, which he would be standing on, so no a problem at all there would be no chance of loosing a hook on something that could hurt a child there..IMHO now if I showed up to fish there and there were kids swimming I would not fish it or if there was something I could get hooked on, I would not fish in that direction.... but I just don't think there is going to be old cribbing or a big tree in the water to get hung up on in a swimming area.. after re-reading the posts, I stand by my post so it's your private spot and you are trying to discourage people from fishing....LOL
  12. I run it with an aluminum hall on the outside and sticking out from the transom... you can't shoot through the hull they sure like eating power a hds 5 takes two 7amp batteries to run it on the ice for 8 hours you can double the time if you lower the back light to a minimum which is hard to do in direct sunlight
  13. LOL good photo
  14. I doubt there are any kids swimming today so your private spot and you are trying to discourage people from fishing....LOL
