  1. all open Dunner. In Elliott Lake anyway. I'm sure you're good to go
  2. personalized guest register book is cool. lots of pages and lots of memories of those you shared memorable times with at your place.
  3. Wayne....think the increase was recent. my bday is feb 18 and for first time in my life went to service ontario early to renew (january maybe) and the the lady at the kiosk suggested I renew for two years when I said i only wanted one year....she said buy two years because prices were going up soon. I took her advice. ????
  4. great thread that makes me feel better. I was gonna buy my 8y/o the baddest bike with the most suspension ctc sold till I spoke to some of my biking buds and they all said hard tail....hard tail...think weight. I ended up buying one at a true sports shop for the same price with only front fork shocks and it is perfect...half the weight. Louis Garneau 7 speed.
  5. I'm sure 95% of us here do...but when you fish a number of different bodies of water that have a number of different exceptions a quick reference on paper in a ziploc in the storage compartment is nice to have. People do like to legally harvest the odd filet.
  6. When I grow up I want to be as smart as you Bill M. 90% of your posts are sarcastic or negative towards the OP or a responder. Why? I think the issue is a lack of printed copies of the regs are available. Not all are "smart phone" users and even yet few of us have ink in our printers. Speeding? That's your comeback? Ontario is a LARGE province with many exceptions and different regs. If every lake had posted reg signs you could use your speeding analogy...but they don't. It's a simple issue. A regs book should be easily obtainable and like already mentioned...I suspect the sponsors/advertisers pay enough for them to be accessible. Jump off your horse man.
  7. wow. picking worms? We're three weeks away at least from that. My outdoor rink board are still frozen surrounded by snow.
  8. lots of pics. knowledge to post none. I can text pics. upload? Nope.
  9. I'll vouch on the 1" track. I put one on my 95 LT this year. Love that thing.
  10. Saw that on the news tonight. Great stuff. Now the stakeholders have a year to figure it out...I'm sure this is a last chance check.
  11. ....fill all their inboxes. It is a federal issue affecting those here provincially. We in the north are misrepresented by the weakest party....we often get run over. Not trying to start a political fight but when you have so few seats and most sit here....we can easily get runover. What I meant by you southern folks well represented with northern hearts...
  12. But the MPP still has a voice and hates being trashed that he is letting this happen. The provincial gov't can push the feds at times...moreso likely in an election year. Just saying. let both the MP and MPP hear you....it may be a federal decision but it affects the MPP's local delegates. Not so black and white...
  13. never hurts if some of you southern guys with northern hearts right your own mpp's as well as ours....we've been fighting up here for years feeling as though those in the more populated areas don't hear us or care....let those making the decisions know.
  14. I get it. Unfortunately the Derby will suffer....sad. Picking cherries!!!!! I can tell we'd get along fine....and our bravos could race! lol
  15. ...maybe? We can argue ethics all day...I doubt this "grey" case is evidence of a serial poacher deserving of the condemnation he is getting from some but more likely a case of an angler caught in the moment and making a poor judgement call and deserving of a slap on the wrist. Adrenaline and excitement took over.....rememember the rush the first time you saw that "pin up" girl twirling on the brass pole....what woulda happened if you caught her..lol!? Come on. It's a fiftyy pound laker...He effed up! He knows it. He owns it. He's paying for it. Calling out others as poachers because they can empathetically understand where he may have let his emotions screw with his proper judgement is wrong in my ethical sense. Sorry Glen. I'm not a poacher. Very far from it. If the neighbour doesn't ask for a feed as he sees me pulling out of my driveway I rarely bring a fish home......
  16. ....and Glen your insinuation that there are poachers who've responded to this thread amongst us is disturbing. A high horse you must ride on....this place is going down hill it seems. The "holier than thou" attitudes at times around here really sucks. A real shame......let winternet end!!! Some guys need to get off the couch and get some fresh air.
  17. I'm a scotty guy. By default because I got them from my dad...but I had a service issue and it was the best service. Made in Canada...serviced in canada.
