  1. Hey Thanks for the input, definitely starting to plan now that's why I brought it up here. We have a small 2HP motor on it (oh yea we fly hehe). We've used it on small lakes many times and even cooks bay a few, although the windy days on cooks is not fun. Would you guys suggest Algonquin over Temagami? CHeers
  2. So my buddy and I just started fishing last summer, we're totally going crazy having not fished in months (I'm not too confident with ice). The long weekend is May 16-18, just after Pike Season opens. So we're pretty excited to do a camping/fishing trip targetting mainly pike and perhaps walleye for some shore lunch (which btw we've never caught lol). We only got a zodiac, so a large lake isn't ideal at all for us, but we're very interested in finding a place we could setup camp next to some water and drop in the boat anytime. Maybe some crown land or a place we could just camp out privately. I was kind of thinking Temagami or perhaps in Algonquin but we don't really know where we'd be going, does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on where we could go? We've never been fishing up north, I'm in Barrie and he's in Aurora and we don't mind driving upwards of 4hrs for a weekend away. So uhmm... help pleeease
  3. That is awesome, I've never seen one and probably would've freaked me out if I caught that. "Oh I'm recording a video, turn it sideways" "TAKE THE PICTURE"
  4. lol... I agree, huge waste of money (I use to do it everyday). Since I work from home, I started drinking maxwell to save money but I actually now buy the tins of Tim Hortons coffee, I just like the taste better but I'm still saving a ton of money.
  5. whatever u use, I highly suggest you have some antivirus installed prior to downloading anything from peer 2 peer networks (remember you are downloading from other people's computers here). Be very careful of what you download as well, if you're new to using P2P networks like limewire, than definitely stay within your limits of knowledge, stick with mp3s and don't download any suspicious files.
  6. I got Rogers which is a 7MB line. I get speeds of over 800K/s when downloading from the big servers like microsoft. I also just got a letter from Rogers saying their prices are increasing and my package will be $46.99/month.
  7. I may not know you, but this brought a tear to my eye. I'm so very sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with you and your family. All the best, Gov
  8. I always bought coffee every morning, I preferred country style over timmies anyday (Too bad there is none in my area since moving). I spent a few bucks everyday on coffee, and if I was getting one around lunchtime I would often get a bagel with it. It adds up very quickly, but my argument was I don't smoke so I should be able to treat myself to my coffee. That's a terrible way to look at it for anyone else who does. You still spend a lot of $ with nothing to show for it. Not to mention coffee isn't exactly the healthiest choice. I buy tim hortons coffee & brew it myself now instead (If you figure out the right combination of coffee to water it tastes just as good). I've never done the math but I save a lot of money. I also drink green tea two or three times a day to avoid drinking as much, I love it.
  9. Found the link: http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c207/NRa...nrivermay12.flv lol! That looks a wee dangerous.
  10. yea I suggest opening an account at photobucket. You can upload any photo you want there and there are links to embed them in to forums.
  11. Are you trying to upload it as an attachment? Or is it for the gallery? Attachments have a max file size of 250K
  12. I've seen a few posts with pics of members catching silver pike. Here's a few I found from searching: http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22215 http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26689 http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7647 Pretty cool catch indeed.
  13. Just to be clear, I think you're looking for Disney World not Disney Land... Disney Land is in California so don't be buying any tickets for that lol.
  14. Web developer... been doing it for 6-7 years. Use to run a small office in Aurora with a couple employees but now enjoy working from home up in barrie.
  15. Cool stuff, I caught a few pufferfish in myrtle beach right off the dock when I was a kid on vacation with my family. Some would come up puffed out, others not, but they all had the spikes. I don't remember how we released them as I was only 7 or 8 years old.
  16. Very nice catch, congrats! FYI.. the orange juice goes in the fridge
  17. Quick note: Most small dogs have a tooooon of energy (esp bichons). They can be difficult to keep calm and are usually the yappiest things. So it's important you do obedience training and don't let the dog become the boss from the get go. The good thing is that they don't require a lot of space to stay active. A small backyard can keep them running for hours.
  18. If you're looking for a purebred, I would highly suggest a bichon frise or a mix with a bichon. I had one growing up and she was a great dog, they don't shed (I'm highly allergic) and make great pets. My wife and I now have a Bichon/Maltese/Poodle - We know its part bichon, not 100% sure the other. They claimed Poodle but we think Maltese. - 4 years old:
  19. I'm pretty sure the real paypal would at least put copyright 2009 at the bottom lol...
  20. They are calling for -20 sat morning with windchill feeling like -30 (At least here in Barrie). Can't imagine what it'll feel like on the lake.
  21. Well since I just started fishing last summer I never really thought or cared about what I'm drinking but as I kept getting up earlier and earlier to go fishing I started to appreciate Tim Hortons a lot more.
