muskeybugged replied to ccmtcanada's topic in General Discussion
119 please! Thanks for the sneak peak -
I caught a musky once! Now I'm all bugged up!

Now only if we can get Howie Longshot to register on here we'd be set!

I had seen that before, but this time I noticed what I think was the release of blood pressure in the guy's artery where he was bit. Could be water splashing around but it had a tinge of red. @ the :47 mark (GRAPHIC)

First off I haven't had the chance to wish all you OFC'ers and family's a Happy Christmas and a Merry successful fishing New Year - Happy holidays as well! I'm new to using braided line and while doing my winterization chores to my soft water fishing stuff, I had noted that the braid on both my baitcast reels is now done it's second season, well from August of 07' through till now. The line is either #50 or #60 Power Pro. I figure it has probably around 20-25 days of good hard fishing, and a hand full of quick morning and night outings (mainly musky/pike and some Port Credit carp). Believe it or not, it has caught some fish too! (No real monsters .... But fish). The line still seems to be strong as can be, casting was not a problem although I ended this season trolling and landed my PB Musky on what turned out to be my last trip out this season. I was just wondering what everyone's experience is with the longevity of their braided line? What characteristics should I be looking for to tell me to retire the line? Or will me cutting the first 10 foot of line here-and-there to re-tie run me out of line before the line gets old? I've noticed it's either packed itself tighter around the spool or I'm running lower. I've asked Santa for another spool but don't want to waste good line if I don't have to. Any input would be awesome, even if it's to tell me I'm a fool to still be using line that old. Stay safe!

I went to record "Facts of Fishing" (the 1 am re run from wed-thursday am) and even popped a bag of pop corn to sit on the couch and watch with last night. Picked "Facts of Fishing" on my record list, only to have recorded some bass champs show. . I still haven't caught that Gar Pike show. At times I can't stand this and WFN does a poor job (or is it, in my case Rogers fault) with updating the show info. I've been burned with that line dance commercal a few times now too. I baitcast 90% of the time, thanks. In WFN/your T.V. providers defence, it is that time of year where new episode are coming out. Still annoying. rant on........

Nail on the head. Support the troops and there families, not the cause! ( don't mean to start on the political, sorry guy's ).

Wow! Nice fish...... Amazes me how these pigs can still have the speed to feed. Maybe that's why they seem to be chasing lures going by at only 3-5 mph these last few days. Great Job angler

After all his trash talking lately of Dion and Iginla, I think this was his way of getting out of his whoopin - that I was waiting all week to see. He's always been the first guy to run his mouth then skate away from a fight that he has any chance of losing. Yeah he'll fight C class fighters. I hope he gets to play again, only so I can see someone do what's been needed for a long (overdue) time.

Aghhhh..... "It'll just rust and fall out eventually"!

He's got to be lying on the size of this fish (There I said it!). No way that it's the size he's claiming. The angler has got to be pushing the 300lbs himself and the fish ain't far behind! Great Job on a huge fish thanks for sharing the post and a chance at her another day. Although she's gonna have more stretch marks and loose skin then Fat 8astard on the subway diet next summer!

Sorry for the newbie inconvenience ...... A few months or so ago, I remember reading a post by a guy ( forgot his handle ) who had built a casting deck floor into his 14' Lund. (G-Bay guy if I recall correctly). I too am looking to do the same as a winter project and I'm trying to gather as much info on doing so before I start hacking away at my 14'. I've spent the last couple of hours trying to find this post and can't seem to find it anywhere. Any help towards what I'm speaking of would be great. Love the site, find myself spending a lot of time here, too much time? - never! The whole auction thing blew me away with the response, and the few people I've asked for info were more then happy to help and quick. Sorry & Thanks Y'all PD
