  1. Undertsandable since he didnt know how to use him last year. No surprise that it would've been his worst point total since joining the Leafs. Coaches can either bring out the best or the worst in players. Thought Grabbo would have redeemed himself in Carlyles eyes after his play against Boston in the playoffs. Still in disbeleaf.
  2. Since joining the team in 08-09, has 208pts. Second only to Kessel in that period 253pts. Widely regarded as an upper-tier 2C, has the heart of a lion. Leafs in 29th as far as cap space goes with no awesome free agents out there to throw money at.... Stupid move. Watch them sign Weiss to a hulking contract. Or worse, give the same contract to Bozak. Wouldnt be surprised if Grabbo signs on with the Hawks before sunrise and has a banner year.
  3. This move stinks. Grabbo>Bozak by a country mile. I started to have a little faith in Nonis but this is a poor hockey decision. If they sign Bozak to the same contract, I might throw up.
  4. That first pic of the eagle is awesome! Mustve been a really cool experience.
  5. Dave Steckle won faceoffs as well. Here are some articles that might make you rethink Bozaks worth. Kadri/Grab/Bolland/McClement sounds fine to me with Colbourne almost ready. I like watching Bozak play but am against re-signing him. http://theleafsnation.com/2013/5/17/why-tyler-bozak-should-have-played-his-last-game-as-a-leaf http://hockeyanalysis.com/2013/04/16/tyler-bozak-by-the-numbers/
  6. Puh-leeze. Kessel could pot 30 with McClaren as his C.
  7. Not exactly sold on that. Especially if the term is 8yrs which is the latest as per tsn. Bozaks numbers are awful when Kessel is taken away.
  8. Not sure if serious...
  9. Saw the exact thing a few years ago, didnt paddle hard enough, i guess. By the time we got to the scrap, the loser was long gone. Didnt see another loon in the area other than the two combatants.
  10. If they had a goalie it would make sense? Edit to add: maybe one of Couturier or Schenn could be involved in a trade for a goalie or an upgrade on D? Otherwise, seems a little sideways to give a banged up VL a full NMC for the full five. Figured Holmgren wouldve learned his leason with Bryzgalov.
  11. If i remember correctly, fish respond more closely to solunar activity than they do water temps. Read this in a Casselman report yeeeaars ago. That being said, if the water temps are not right when the time is, the bass will abort the spawn and females will reabsorb the eggs. I think its Harrison that mentioned a few times that he believed a record bass would come out of a situation like this. If so, buckle up!!
  12. Cant agree more. I'll add that using light line and even lighter leader would also pad the authors numbers relating to mortality due to over-exhaustion.
  13. Not sure if serious? I laughed either way...
  14. That might be the coolest thing ive read on this board. Thanks for sharing
  15. Was looking for some info for a trip next weekend, lew. Came across this page. http://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/ontario/eaux-water/renseignement-information-eng.html
  16. No measurement but Id say on the better side of 40. Water was very high and still cold, 62-63deg. Looks like I left the water 3hrs too early. Forecaster fearmongering got me, i guess...
  17. Slow morning out there and probably wouldnt have got one if a fish hadn't swiped and missed after an Lturn as i was lifting the lure out of the water. Knowing the fish wAs there I slowed it down and just slowrolled a spinnerbait, constantly popping the lure. Felt the weight and avoided the skunk. Fish was barely hooked on the trailer in the tip of his snout so just did a quick boatside release. Quick flick with the pliers and he shot off like a bullet. Happy hunting everyone!
  18. The weathers not looking bad up in Haliburton until after noon. Doesn't bode well for my neighbours pig roast this afternoon though!
  19. Looks like you guys did had a great time! Heading up there next weekend cant wait! What were the water temps?
  20. Some gorgeous gators guys. Keep em coming!
  21. I may sound a little calloused here, i realize that. But if you live in a place called Tornado Alley, youre asking for it. Tell me whats so important to Oklahoma that people still live there? They are a manufacturing State. Whatever gets made there can be made elsewhere. Move or you and your children are at risk. Thats a cold fact and one that people ignore. Just because i write that, doesnt mean I dont feel for their loss. Just means that it was avoidable.
  22. Its not a tragedy if you put yourself in harms way. The Oklahoma bombing? Tragedy. Living in a state where this kind of thing occurs regularily? Inevitable. This is like moving to the base of a volcano or on top of a major fault line. Sorry for those that lost their lives and those that need to rebuild now. But if I had someone tell me thats where they were moving, id tell them they were stupid.
  23. 49deg? Where were you fishing? Got out for abit in Haliburton and the water was creeping up on 60deg. Didn't get into any fish but it was nice to get the boat out. That kind of temperature makes for a tough day for sure. Sounds more like laker temp. You avoided the skunk though!
  24. Weird, we're having break and didnt feel anything
  25. Im at Bathurst and Lakeshore, didnt notice anything? When did this happen?
