After a couple appointments this morning, I decided I was gonna hit one of my favorite tribs and Im glad I did. Although it had rained and the water was up and a little dirty, the bite was on. Lost a few due to logs and poor hook sets, but managed a couple also. Went 6/11. Dropped my camera at the last hole on the way out as it was getting Dark and didnt notice until about 10 minutes later,...went back and there it was 12" under water, lol. It was time for a new one anyway. Surprisingly the Card survived. Who Knew? lol.

Thought I would add these as well. Taking a canoe trip down the credit near the mouth, saw these Big Birds in the distance and snapped a few Pics. I posted them on some Birdie watching Site and was told they were "Great Egrets' as memory serves and also aparently the first time they were spotted this far north. I thought it was a whooping crane which is why I originally was looking to find out what it was. When I look at the white one in the first pic,...I keep hearing, 'Everybody dance Now....' lol

Why did this come back after 2 months? All Rivers will be blown all weekend, so noone should go fishing !!!

thats pretty cool!!! Although it wasnt a great horned, I watched this guy swoop down into the grass when I was fishing Xmas day a few years back, turned out he had a rat in his talons and was doing this dance with his wings to scare me away!!! Sp I took a few pics and walked away, as soon as I was a safe distance he took air and sure enough his lunch was in his claws.

given the Autumn we had its still early season the fish dont know what month it is...Lol...but your right they are all gone!!!! wait til next Season!!!! any meat hunters lurking,..its catch and release,...Big Bro is Watching!!!

Absolutely,...I caught well over 100 steelhead before I ever got a glimpse of one before it hit....the waters I learned how to fish them were much bigger and darker than them eastern tribs,....its a much different approach....that being said,....you can use the Jedi Mind trick into gettin spooked fish to hit,... but in the absence,..just try not to spook them or let them see you for that matter....if you have ever watched a video of someone creeping up to the side of the river on his hands and knees ever so slowly and hiding behind cover,..there is a reason,..its not just for fun.

How about 5-6 OPP officers handing out tickets at certain locations during the salmon run? We could have an intern bring them coffee and donuts while they write 100's of tickets for poaching, lol. No Bush, no risk,..ALOT of extra $$ for the Coifers etc. CO's certainly dont do it,...they cant,..there are not nearly enough of them. I would argue however that a dozen coppers could bring in more $$ from August-October than they would otherwise,..and public safety wouldnt be threatned one bit,...they could always leave to go to an emergency....it would just be a re-routing of the $$ grab from most radar traps.

Lol,..you must have some good tricks for avoiding line freeze,....personally here I cant stand it less than -5 or so just to do with that,...I mean I have worked 40 stories up on roofs in -20 and howling winds,...but the line freeze up BITes,..I know there is the ice off paste and vaseline etc,..but those are just temp measures,..no?
