  1. That sounds like an AWESOME idea! Hahaha... Never thought of that! Thanks bud!
  2. Yeah, they do. Often it numerous sizes... Although, I'm not too sure if its meant to be used "right out of the package"... cause it has preservatives in it, so it doesn't smell natural. (to me at least) I've used them before in the past, never any success on it. I'm thinking there's some "step" that needs to be done, BEFORE its put on the hook. If anyone knows of how to 'correctly' use these preserved baits, I'd like to know... Thanks in advance! Your welcome Chugger!
  3. Some tackle shops carry Smelt that are preserved. I know Bass Pro Shops and LeBaron carry them... I'm betting some of those 'smaller' shops have them too.
  4. ...Even if you delete pictures off Facebook - They still have their own copies of your pictures on their servers. I've been wanting to delete my Facebook account too because of that - Still don't know why I haven't yet.
  5. Aren't those still being produced? (I guess in different patterns?)
  6. I've never tried there before... but I know there's another boat launch (that's been discontinued for use) near there (Inside Humber Bay Park)... I see guys going after carp all the time. That's where I caught my 1st carp! LOL! But the bridge you're talking about I've been meaning to try out. It looks pretty promising considering all the rivers dump into Lake O.
  7. Sorry, your absolutely right - its the WEST. LoL - I'm sucha n00b!
  8. If you try Humber Bay Park EAST... Off the Boat Launch... I've had a buddy catch a nice sized PIKE outta there. Weapon of choice at the time was the WHITE XRAP *AKA: GLASS GHOST* I think he used the smallest size available for the GLASS GHOST pattern at the time....I myself, was bitten off by one... when that happened, I was using the largest size available. **Welcome aboard by the way - I just noticed this was your 1st post!**
  9. Worms? Minnows? or Artificial plastics? ... What would be your recommendation? and... on a float? (if so, how deep?) or off bottom? THANKS IN ADVANCE! You know what... scratch that. I didn't ask - better to just try everything there myself!
  10. I've only been out there once - I need to make it a regular trip though! Awesome place to go.... especially with family.
  11. Great read! Thanks for posting that topic Eze! Can't wait for my next outing to Bronte!

  17. Take a picture of the Needle and the Loaf.... get any info off the loaf or whatever. Also, get them to sign a piece of paper saying they've taken the Needle and Loaf. (for your own records; incase you ever do decide to sue)
  18. Holy crow!! Those are some wicked sized 'Eyes!! I'm heading down to Dunville tomorrow... but will be fishing from shore (pier I should say)... hopefully I can get into a few! not counting on it tho... won't be too deep!! WICKED CATCH THO!!
  19. Hey folks, ONE LAST QUESTION.... What kind of species are known to be caught around the PORT MAITLAND PIER this time of year? Just trying to get an idea so I know what gear to bring... Thanks!
  20. I have a buddy who caught several large fish on UltraLight tackle - he was using a 7'6UL... he's caught PIKE (8-9lb) BASS (4-5lb) and it held up pretty amazingly; on 4lb# Test. I've caught a CARP (prolly 12lb if not more) on my 7'6"UL.... GREAT FIGHT! And as BillM said... great for Small Stream Trout and Bush Wacking. Perfect for Underhand Pitch Casts.
  21. I think there's a Motel at the north corner of the bridge. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=...e=UTF8&z=17 I'm sure there are smaller "mom/pop" motels in town too... check it out - the town isn't too large anyway. Or better yet... MSG Fishmaster - he's in the area... he could better lead you.
  22. Thanks Guys!!! Just wondering, how big minnows would you guys recommend?? 5"? 8"?
  23. Is THIS the address? I can never seem to find it anytime I'm down there!
  24. Sick!! Nice Muskie!! I can't wait to hook into my 1st!!
  25. Hey Folks, Every year my family goes camping out to the Dunville area... and as with every year, I take along my fishing gear... problem is, I'm never too sure on what to bring. So, this time I'm requesting aid of all/most of the OFC'ers on the board to assist a fella angler....Here is my question.... - I'm planning on going fishing @ the Port Maitland Pier; What can I expect to catch? - What's abundant in species out in that area? - Are there any bass out by the Pier? - What "tools" would you advise I bring? Anyway, those questions are about all I could think of right now, I'm sure there are more - I just can't seem to think of any after a serious Brain Fart! hahaha.... Anyway, Just wanted to say THANKS in advance to all that reply to this thread... Thanks! RoB
