A buddy of mine always invites me to head up to Spanish River to do some fishing - but I've never had the time to go! Just wanted to know, do PIKE get pretty large? What about MUSKY? Do they exist in those areas? If so, how large do they get?

Float Rod & Reel Storage en Route to fishing destination...

I thought of doing that - don't you find it really heavy?? Can you PM me a pic your finish product? I just think it would look odd carrying a piece of pipe to a river.... -
Hey Float-fisherman, I just have a quick couple of questions... While you are en route to your fishing destination... do you keep your ROD and REEL out in the open? (in the back of your car/truck?) or do you keep it in some sort of bag? (so not to accidentally close a door on the rod tip) The reason why I'm asking is that I am in the market in looking for some STORAGE for my FLOATFISHING gear while en route to a fishing destination. I've already had 2 rods break on me in the last 2 months alone! If anyone can suggest a carrier that is excellent for holding FLOAT ROD & REEL I would greatly appreciate it - again, I am in the market for one. ONLY 1 REQUIREMENT for this "Storage" case... - Must be able to store both ROD and REEL at the same time (preferably line and terminal tackle still attached; just collapsed; so all I would need to do is assemble rod, and I'm ready to fish) - Would be nice if it could hold more than 2 in 1 case... Something similar to this I suppose? Thanks! (Any all help is much appreciated) A2F

Hey Folks, Just wanted to ask a quick question regarding the type of GRIP you most prefer on your FISHING ROD(s)... either FOAM or CORK. At 1st, I personally didn't care for the type of grip; But predominantly found myself using FOAM when 1st started getting into fishing. Now that I've made the switch over to CORK, I find it hard to switch back to FOAM. Though, I don't know why? So, here's my question... WHAT TYPE OF GRIP [FOAM or CORK] DO YOU PREFER? and WHY? Is there something I'm missing in understanding both the ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES of CORK Vs. FOAM? Is one preferred over the other in certain scenarios? Where are the PRO's when ya need them! JP! DAVE! Drop the rod!! hahaha..

Yup, They seem to appear @ random in Canadian Tire stores. (at least that's where I've seen them most). Sometimes I'd spot them @ WAL-MART too...

Hey Folks, I was out earlier today with a few buddies, been using the UNI-KNOT ever since I 1st learned/heard about it. Its been holding up really well - Anyway, my question is... - WHAT KNOT DO YOU USE TO SECURE YOUR HOOK TO YOUR LEADER? ANY SPECIFIC REASON WHY? (IE: Easier to tie? Knot strength?) I'm just trying to get a general idea of what people use...and what their reasoning is. I'm liking the UNI-KNOT, just curious on what other "more popular" knots that Center-Pinners use... Thanks, A2F PS: I've tried searching the board already (and Google) - no luck.

I went to GRAN BAHIA PRINCIPE in PUNTA CANA.... SO BEAUTIFUL THERE!! Didn't get to go fishing though...
-
My setup was roughly in that neighborhood... Centrepin Reel: MATRIX By RAVEN (MSRP: $250ish) Rod: Shimano Convergence (MSRP: $120ish)

Yeah, L2P speaks of the truth - My now favorite type of fishing is Float Fishing! Center-Pin reels are a lot of fun to use!

Done.

Just wanted to make a quick post... I noticed today that PH0T08UCK3T introduced a "PRO" membership - thus, only allowing you to view a certain size/bandwidth of pictures/videos from the site itself for ONE DAYS USE. This presents a problem to many because, I know a lot of there are quite a few users on here that use PB... My question is, what website do you use to post your pictures? and why? Thanks, A2F

I was looking at Mike Iaconelli's book "Fishing on the Edge"... Has anyone read this? Good/Bad? .... Anyone got any fishing books they can suggest??

Hey Addikts, I'm getting married this SATURDAY and leaving for the honeymoon @ 4am the next morning (to Punta Cana)... Was looking at a few books to bring/purchase that I could read while relaxing on the beach and on the plane... Anyway, to sum things up - I checked out AMAZON.CA and found out that Mr. Dave Mercer himself has a book out? Its called "Dave Mercers Facts of Fishing"? Few questions... - Has anyone read this book? - Does anyone have this book? - What are your inputs on the book? (can't seem to find any related information on it on Google) Here's the LINK on the book that I found on AMAZON. I was also wondering if anyone else could suggest a good fishing related book that I could take along on the trip? Thanks! A2F
