  1. The only question now is can you cook them in the dorm room with out getting in trouble Don't worry too much about snagging a few with that many fish in the river the chance is rather high, you know what to do so fish on. And don't forget about the perch and pike!
  2. This link comes from the Michigan DNR web site under unlawful activities read "snag fish or retain fish not hooked in the mouth" near the end. http://www.michigan.gov/documents/dnr/unla...es_229814_7.pdf The web site: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/dnr/unla...es_229814_7.pdf So I hope that clears up the issue for good in Michigan. However Illinois does seem to allow snagging for salmon in certain locations when I did a bit of research but I am not going to confirm it.
  3. Kind of a shame to kill it just for a record though
  4. A very sad story Paul my deepest condolences. I am very familiar with gastric cancer as I am a care giver for a family member who suffered from it but won the fight so far. One reason why I have not had the chance to even wet a line this year or a few past . Looking at the huge smiles on Terry says it all though and brings a tear to our eyes making us count our blessings. I hope he passed peacefully. Rob
  5. Well don't let him make a monkey out of you!
  6. Five acres is a pretty large pond and you would need some good size bass to pick off foot long rainbows but there is no reason to fish the depths to catch them. Spring fed is good but what is the pH of the water? I say take the boat with a fish finder or invite someone with an underwater camera for a tour.
  7. Some nice recipes there GCD thanks I will have to convert them to PDF for future reference just in case of any pending trout harvesting situations become reality.
  8. LOL Sean at least it was into clean water and not a shoreline slip into muck. Great fish though and this story reminds me I have to pick up one of those portable heaters!
  9. Yeah good investment Billy Bob but then that's what they said about the Ford Pinto
  10. You will damage the hub and possibly the bearings as well.
  11. You should never use excessive force to remove nuts from wheels use a good penetrant such as PB blaster first to attack the rust. The studs are pressed onto the hub and you have damaged the splines either on the stud or the hub itself. Take the wheel- hub assembly off as a unit by ubbolting the bearing, drill and punch the stud out from the back. If you did strip the splines inside the hub hole you need to replace the hub and I would recommend you replace any studs in poor shape as well.
  12. I did not see them on sale or in this weeks flier but I did pick up the garmin GPS bundle half price and there is a 1 lux LED spotlight which works pretty well and the charge lasts up to 6 hours. Certain camping items are clearanced 3-50% off. By the way guys CT does have an online flyer and you can sign up for emails. http://www.canadiantire.ca/home.jsp
  13. CTC and PA do have a lifetime warranty... well unless you drop them overboard What about surgical tools? I have a doctor's appointment next week so is there anything I should inquire about?
  14. It all depends what you consider as an acceptable risk and what studies have been done. Over 15 years ago I promoted awareness of the toxic chemicals used in the manufacture of different types of plastics and it took until this year for health Canada to react on just one.
  15. Tomcat since they are selling the product I doubt they will be straightforward with you so ask for a material safety data sheet and I can point you to more details.
  16. Congratulations and may others follow your lead.
  17. Enforcement could be as easy as a spreading ban of use of gas engines or the use of two stroke oil on more lakes with hefty fines and or confiscation of your license. In general the public does follow the law. Still one has to consider the resale value of older engines now too with new standards. And what will happen to the sale of two stroke oil over time?
  18. It depends on what car you own but most likely some young punk who had an accident and can't afford the parts to repair. Emission control theft is high on the list so watch your cats!
  19. HAHA you guys look so wet and looks like you don't care a bit... and why wouldn't you!
  20. Keeripes I would love to see those little rascals in the creek around here again, Cooksville creek in Mississauga has now been dead for over thirty years... talk about a toilet!
  21. How did it taste Matt?
  22. I did use the system many years ago until I learned the hazards! When you heat up and melt the plastic to seal the bag you are releasing toxic chemicals into the food. By the way freezing food does have it's time limit so while the appearance may be ok after a year the nutritional value will have degraded so what's the point?
  23. Good point Cisco but some two strokes do have cats on them and oil is not the problem.I own quite a few of Sthil saws and I do performance mod them so I see what they do to try and meet emission requirements such as restricting exhaust flow the raise operating temperature. But the two stroke is reaching it's limits of design and the oil is a contributing factor towards pollution. So you will see more mini four strokes on the market.
  24. No sweat about losing the carp at least you had a good fight. And there's plenty more fish in the.... er toilet? Rich was that a creek chub you caught? It just hit me right now that I can't remember the last time I even seen a creek chub
  25. I must say Limey you sure can paint a pretty picture! It's almost like being there, one with nature.
