thanks for all the comments guys, both positive and negative.. silvio, we should hit up the rivers after this weekend..enough fish are upppp i can explain the reason with the muddy background.. i was fishing at a pool with sinking mud on the bank, and i was alone, so landing the fish that was way was my only choice. i'm sure i fished enough to properly handle fish, the camera and the reel pouch was ready right when i landed the fish and the fish was on the shore for at most 15 seconds. i could've taken my sweet time wiping all the mud off the fish for a nice picture. this is why you see all the mud on my pin and my rod. nevertheless, the fish swam away harmless.

just a 10' shimano convergence for booting salmons. Victor, i couldn't make it at night cause i got work at 6am today.

had a couple hours to fish today so i headed to the "local" trib to wet some lines. didn't even see a salmon in sight..it could possibly be due to the dirty water, but not even one!! couple drifts with a pinky in a calm pool and hooked into this fella. the fish is about 4lbs with a mean kype! back in the drink he goes walked the river a bit more after, caught a 2lb rainbow and that was it... still very surprised I didn't see one salmon in sight

i had a sheffield, and i thought it was smooth also.. until i picked up the king pin, 2 different worlds.

redbull will keep me awake for about 15-30 minutes. then i start dozing off again.. i think the best way to stay awake on the drive home from a full day of fishing is getting out of the car and have a walk for about 10 minutes. or keep smoking while driving..lol

great pics! always good to hit the early run before everyone in the city heads out i also noticed the salmons caught 2-3 weeks ago fought way harder that the ones recently...i think its due to the oxygen level from all the low waters we're getting.

p-line fluoroclear 10lb for bass, walleye fishing. siglon FC 6lb for steelheads in frog water. maxima ultragreen (no fluoro) 3-5lb for normal steelhead fishing.

the salmon run is over....it all happened overnight last thursday when my buddy and I hooked about 150 fish drifting skeins at a river mouth..the next day we went and not a single fish went up.

Give Angling Specialties a visit, a lot of float fishing guys on the forum go there.

trilene XT 8lb has a diameter of .012", my siglon 12lb has a diameter of .011" so i think it'll break off at a minimum of 12lb (just for your own reference). just put your boots into those fish and see what happens...if you're constantly breaking off..go higher on the leader, until your main line starts breaking off.hahaa but i think 12lb is more than enough.

it was a great day out with Lloyd..without his great skills and experience we wouldn't be catching them all morning!!!

or you could spend some money and get size 6 guides for the first 3 guides..then ice will not be a problem

can anyone tell me how the conditions are at the notty?! i checked the water tables 2 days ago and it went up 35cm..i assume its blown as hell..
