seriously, nothing helps in the slippery mud... what I have done is buy the HEX shape bolts from home depot (they are like $6 for 100). and put about 8-12 on each boot, they help during the winter months.. like bill said, why spend $20 on simms ones

I've been eyeing them for a while now, still cant justify spending $500 on it.... from what i was told, people only wear tee shirts underneath...and its already warm enough for the sub zero temps.

a buddy told me about the Berkley's at Walmart... $15 and i see through water like nothing! sometimes i see fish in pools and others dont.

well said both Lloyd and Stonefly! i really don't see a need to hide the background. anyone here think there IS a secret spot out east??? don't forget, we can ONLY fish below hwy 2 now. so really, what secret spots are there. an average steelheader will fish that pool, either this weekend or next...we all fish enough to know which river holds more fish than others in the fall season. but in the dead winter thats a different story, cause everyones gonna be at the same river mouth

trotting is when you slow down your drift, so opposite to feeding more lines out. when trotting is done properly, your float should tilt at an upright/diagonal angle.

you guys and ang spec!! for me, i just use both hand...right hand with 2 fingers on the pin, left hand will be the extra/backup if the pin slips... nevertheless, pinning in the rain isn't comfortable...but fun!

been using the raven im8 for 2 seasons now..its a solid rod for the price, cant go wrong.. the shimano clarus is also a sweet deal. i think it was on sale at bronte outdoors a while ago for $80? wait for the new avid series or the new raven rv9...both are going to be sweet rods
