  1. No I don't have that as a background and didnt imply I have expertise in the issue either, I just dont agree with his view and unless he has been studying the issue 1st hand his statement is no more relevant than me disagreeing inspite of his background. I wonder if the various experts studying the issue would see it his way?
  2. I tend to not comment on things I dont know anything about, this approach would have served you better here my friend. The population is exponentionally higher than it has EVER been. As humans we have impacted eco systems and as a result sometimes we do need to assist mother nature in correcting issues we have caused, unfortunate but a fact of life.
  3. I have fished the mangro sanctuary in cancun. Its catch & release but fishing was good, no trolling just casting.
  4. Those buttons are bigfoot switches, I had them on my last boat along with a foot control and only used the pedal to steer if I used the buttons. I dont find it uncomfortable to fish all day with a pedal but if it was you could install a pedal tray. I dont ever troll with it or run it steady though, if you fished like that a direct drive & i pilot would be the ticket. I think alot of guys not fond of foot controls are using direct drive units for positioning which they are horrible to use for, thats were the cable steer shines.
  5. You can install bigfoot deck mounted on/off switches w/ a bypass feature too but you still have to move the head to change direction or touch it to adjust speed. Myself id rather keep 2 hand free to fish and would sooner work a pedal vs kicking a tm arm all the time to change direction,a pain in the nuts in the wind, its whatever you like though.Btw I have a bigfoot switch kicking around if anyone needs one.
  6. I think the increases are nominal and inline with past yearly increases, people are not taking into account card renewal fee's that they are being charged this yr. but were not last yr.
  7. Pro qualifier pants with a zipper. Im not sure of the differences in the coats but length is one.
  8. Pro qualifier is better for the summer. Consider getting the pants instead of bibs, they have attachments for suspenders and fit very high on your stomach thus you avoid the shoulder strain of bibs, very handy for taking a leak too as there is no need to undo the jacket. You can buy a zip in wind proof insulated liner made for them if you fish cold weather too making it a more flexible suit than the 100mph or guidewear which are too heavy for summer fishing.
  9. To hot. The bps pro qualifier is not insulated but is designed with a zip in liner (purchased seperately) that gives you the best of warm and cold weather gear.Or get a bigger non-insulated and bundle up?
  10. No more stickers, retailer must use a debit type unit to issue a printed copy now.
  11. You can turn it over dry for a few seconds which turns the empellor very slowly but be sure and pull the kill switch 1st because if it actually fired up dry it would ruin the empellor in about 3 seconds due to the rpm's it would be turning.
  12. As for the unit they installed is it what you asked for? They may have had to use a different model due to compatability but if you were general in your request and they installed the proper part called for then the only issue is the installation which the could possibly correct with some adjustment. Regarding the cover it is unrealistic to expect a dealer to baby sit your boat by draining/adjusting the cover while in their yard, it would be your responsibilty to cover it in a way to prevent rain pooling issues or stop by there to drain the cover after heavy rains. What if they adjusted your cover and it ripped? See the issue, they dont touch em, no different than any other dealer. No you know what to do next time it sits outside at a dealership anyway.
  13. Reminds me of the clowns driving a convertable with the roof made out of a curtain and duct tape lol. When I picked up my boat in the US they followed me for miles on I75,when I changed lanes so did they many times, finally I came to a dead stop in traffic in the center lane and they got the hint and screwed off.
  14. come on man what math? You made that up lol.
  15. Scott I have all the safety gear you need leftover from the store just call me price will be right.
  16. Wow awsome Ernie. Nice change for ya. Be nice to your customers and they will be good too you . Best of luck!!
  17. Tybo take a stop watch & gps and 2 boats identical to yours one with the etec the other verado and run em. The etec with out perform the verado in time to plan, 0-30mph and topend. The slip you mentioned has to do with the prop (some slip more than others) engine height, trim and hull design. A 4 blade extra cupped stainless will slip much less than say a 3 blade alum..They may both be rated at 200hp at the prop but the 2 stroke can under load run through the rpm range much quicker.
  18. Aikmans in miss. Has lots of parts and may do pure fishing warranty. Im confused though, they gave you a new reel before which they didnt have to do and because they referred you to their warrant center you wont buy their products? What does it matter if you send the reel to Brantford or Orillia or who you send it too as long as it gets fixed?
  19. If he is putting on a performance hull like a glass bass boat the etec will out holeshot out midrange and out topend the verado. If its going on a tin or v pad glass hull than it doesnt matter neither are designed for performance per say
  20. What are you putting it on? Cause if your looking for performance the verado wont touch the etec. Fuel economy is about a wash and the etec uses very little oil. Like guys said you need your dealer close.
  21. I have some new mustang integrity float coats for $140. She may end up sweating lol
  22. Geoff I dropshot alot and have used both but im usually doing in or around weedcover as i dropshot large mouth and small mouth and myself use 15lb fireline braid and a swivel with 3' 10lb flouro, up to 20lb fluoro if the cover is heavy, seems to work good and twist is not an issue w the braid/swivel but it will loop up with fluoro only.Like mentioned depends how you fish, anything over 20' I would lean toward fluoro because the braid has too much water resistance to fish well deep forcing you too us a heavier weight and I have found the lightest you can get away with using the more fish you will boat.
  23. Sounds like you maybe got an old rod like mentioned. Send it to pure fishing head office in Brantford On (google address) with receipt and note detailing how it broke. You will likely see a replacement at your door soon.
  24. I used cloves for a few yrs and no mice and also used mothballs 1 yr and no mice but the did stink the boat up some.
  25. Anyone tried these for Musky/Pike? Just wondering if they work and hold up ok or do they get destroyed?
