  1. That was freakin' unbeleavable!!!
  2. Terrific report Aaron, thank you! Really enjoyed the detail about your lure choices too. That reminded me of one of my favourite shows you and Barry did where you hit a trib for Bass. It's an overlooked fishery and easily accessible to lots of folks. I'm gonna give it a go myself real soon. Thanks again Aaron!
  3. Good goin' Hurraylien! Some beauty residents there, even the really fat guy. Can't guess what his problem was. What a bonus that Bow is, eh? What's it still doin' around? It looks skinny spawned out. I love those resident bows. Wow!
  4. A great way to spend the day, even with the bugs! Bush fishing requires repellent. I never leave without it! Congratz on the nice brookies!
  5. After seeing the recent trib fishig posts, I decided to burn a vacation day yesterday to hit an trib down Erie way. I already visited the stream a few weeks ago and found it blown, so I was pretty happy to see it back to normal when I arrived yesterday morning. Once the Steelhead leave for the lake so do most of the fisherman, so I had the little jewel all to myself. I found that I was getting hung up bottom bouncing no matter how light the split-shot, so I switch up to a small spinner to keep my presentation higher in the water column. No takers though, unless you count the rock bass and chub. Moved on and found a deeper run where I could present my crawler with a slip float, and that's where I found the first little Brown of the day. The run held several more Browns and couple of Bows so my morning was an enjoyable one. Here's some Brownie shots. Once things slowed, I took the slip float back to some of the other runs I had tried earlier in the morning with no success and hooked into the best Rainbow of the day. A really great way to spend the morning. I find I get the most enjoyment when I get back to the basics and pack the hipwaders, vest, a few lures and ultra-light rod. Cheers!
  6. And to think we knew you when you were just an ordinary guy. Your name is Terrence?! Congratualtions Bushart, always enjoy when you share your work with us.
  7. I don't have Rogers in my part of Hamilton so I get 'Cogecoed!'
  8. Wow, so isolated! And what harsh conditions they must live with everyday. What an experience you must have had and thanks for posting some of it for us!
  9. What an amazing trip and lots of great photos to remember it by! So different culturally than our life here. Thanks for sharing! Now I'm gonna go back to look at the pics again...
  10. Done and good luck! Ya, the nasty i-petition beggers ask for a donation and don't give you an option to get out, other than closing down the internet page, fyi.
  11. I have never seen small stream brookie shots like that before! That's quite a talent you have, Mike, first to catch 'em and then catch 'em with the lens. Terrific stuff. Sounds like a lot of effort but boy, was it ever worth it!
  12. A great day! ..other than the broken rod. Goodluck, I hope you get some kind of warranty coverage on 'er.
  13. Great report Homer. Sorry you couldn't get any trout to come out and play but you sure got a good tour of Niagara fishing spots. And if your job takes you back there again, you've got a bunch of new spots to try. Good fishing!
  14. So, what your saying is your wife wanted something and she got her way. What's the issue? This sounds completely normal to me.
  15. Lucky Sons Charters out of Lefroy has a large pontoon boat for his customers. I think he might be able to accomodate your party. Here's his link: http://www.simcoeicefishing.com/fishing-charters
  16. My line twist is probably the result of making longer casts( and reeling spinners back in fast current? ). But the ballbearing swivels make it a non-issue. I'll either use a ballbearing snap-swivel direct to the lure OR a two-way swivel about a foot or two up the line. Either one seems to do the trick. The small swivels your using, Bill, the size of a small ant are probably not ball-bearing swivels since I've never seen 'em quite that small. Doesn't sound like line twist is much of an issue with you though.
  17. Ya, an Uncle of mine used to fish the pond regularly and used a slip singer to great effect. Used to fire his presentation towards the middle and have his corn/worm bit slip down near bottom. Goodluck to your neighbours kiddies.
  18. I can't believe you fish spinners without a swivel and don't get line twist! What's your secret? Anyhoo, I spend the extra and get ball-bearing swivels. No line twist and makes changing up spinners easier.
  19. Guess it's time to dust of the carp gear! Thanks for that post Bruce and congratz on an early one. See ya out there one of these times!
  20. Geez, I thought you were talking about the Habs! lol Darn nice slabs you're holdin there, Larry!
  21. I hear Fishing World has a sale on.
  22. I saw this charter boat on the Coronzey show a while back. I remember it because he was casting to walleye( countdown method )and catching 'em that way. Just looked way more fun than trolling. Anyhoo, here's the website to find out more. www.chantecharters.com
  23. Impossible to keep pushing out millions of vehicles without having any problems years down the road. I judge the manufacture by what they do once they find out there IS a problem. Fixing the vehicle and providing a loaner as good as you can expect.
  24. Remember though Lunatic, Ron inherited a team that's been torn down and rebuilt. Almost the worst team in the league last year and this year knocking on the door of the playoffs. I think we're going in the right direction and would give him my vote for next year.
  25. You'll only be famous amongst other fisherman, which doesn't really make you famous. You won't get rich because companies don't throw money at you just cuz you caught a big muskie. And you don't stand a chance with Mariko. SO LET THE FISH GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...lol
