  1. Great fish. I love big pike. <'):/:/:/><
  2. Great job guys. I like the 2nd pic.
  3. You need 80lb Power Pro to floss with those chompers! I almost couldn't take the picture because I was laughing so hard.
  4. Hey guys, Thanks. We got out again after work today and fished till dark. Landed about 10 each. Some fish on roe, some on single eggs and some on worms. I'll post pics later. Lots of new jumpers in the pool today. Although it looks like a tiny piss crik, the spot where the fish are holding is wide and about 4-5 feet deep.
  5. Looks like it was alot of fun. Cool blue whiskers on the cat.
  6. Really nice fish
  7. Hey guys and gals, I had a great day with my buddy MSP. We fished a small branch of a big trib. We caught at least 18 fish each and lost alot more. Had about 50-60 fish in this pool. I love to be busy with work but wish I could cancel this week's jobs to go back and crush them. All fish were caught on roe. Teamwork was key to fighting and landing these fish. One of us would hook, fight the fish, while the other guy would net them. Then it would be the other guy's turn. We knew that we would have too many double headers and it would just cause tangles and break-offs. We didn't see anyone else while we were fishing. We made some cool videos but I don't know how to post them. Can you believe that I used the same hook all day . I did re-tie once because my leader was nicked on some wood but didn't lose one fish to break-offs. I'm sure we could have caught more fish if we switched to flies and worms but we were content and left them for another time. The pool was black with trout. All fish were released.
  8. Awesome pics WSB. Nice specks 24/7. The otter and loon pics are fantastic! Can't wait to see more speck reports from you guys.
  9. Great looking fish
  10. Now that's a trout! Good luck in the upcoming pike season Raf.
  11. That was awesome. Thanx Mike. Paul Elias seemed so calm while catching those giants.
  12. That was a great wrap up Ben. Some really nice dark fish. That first pike looks really long. I bet you guys caught a lot more that weren't photographed. Good luck in the open water season.
  13. Solid fish. Very nice
  14. Right on. At least you got into some fish. Nice looking lake
  15. That was a great video. Must have been a memorable trip. I like that tune as well so it made watching the vid even better. Thanks
  16. Hey guys, thanks for the input about fishing my reels in saltwater. I´m in Costa Rica right now, loving life, until my shimano calcutta 250 got screwed this morning. I got some sand in it and the thumb bar started to become stuck and harder to depress. I casted out but now the spool wont reel in. I took it apart, rinsed with freshwater, but still when I turn the handle, the spool doesn´t pick up the line or turn. The thumb bar is also shot. Any suggestions? All I have is a multitool. Thanks guys. Oh yeah, so far just small fish from shore but I´m going out on a boat Friday with a local guy who freaked when he saw my tackle. when I leave I told him I would give him some lures and my PowerPro. Gear is very hard to come by around here and very expensive. Great deal because it costs huge $$$$$ to go on a charter here. $1200 US for 8 hrs. I still have a spinning rod/reel combo but even the small fish here scap like crazy and would love to have the baitcast outfit back in order to huck spoons and jerkbaits. Thanks guys, Pura Vida
  17. Thanks alot fellas. I screwed up a reel once fishing it in salt water even though I rinsed it. Fidel, maybe this time I'll submerge it like you said. If I catch anything I'll make a post.
  18. Hey guys/gals, just wanted to know if saltwater will damage my reels when I go to Costa Rica. I was hoping to bring a shimano Calcutta and a shimano Stadic. If so I'll just bring some junky beater reels with me. Thanks
  19. That's a donkey! Great job on the release
  20. Looks like it was a great trip
  21. Hope for the best, he'll get in. He's not a threat and if you explain the reason for the trip they should be cool at the border.
  22. Right on! Too bad the big one got away.
  23. I have 2 Vexilar FL8 for sale. One of them is brand new in the box, the other is slightly used. They are great units. If you plan to fish water deeper than 120 feet go with a FL18 or FL20.
  24. If you are using electronics and jigging, I would use the 10in bit. It is sometimes hard getting a big pike or laker up an 8in hole when you have thick ice.
