Bingo. I bleed blue and white but looking at the roster this year looks like much of the same. I do like the fact that hopefully we will be able to play all 4 lines though, which might help the top 6 not be totally gassed by the second half of the season. Either way I can't wait to watch some hockey...... GLG.

Great report Mike. Some nice fish there. -
Come on, There are several video's (some much worse "chasing") on youtube of people in vehicles following moose down the road. Not saying it is right, but to be charged for it? Not sure about that one.

If you could fish anywhere in the world........

Peacocks would be a blast. That would be my preference because of my addiction to topwater fishing for anything. -
Awesome report bunk. That picture with the orange sky in the background is incredible.

Great stuff guys. Some good info here. As for a weapon 2 of my friends are bringing shotguns as partridge opens the day before we get up there. That should suffice on scaring away any pesky bears we come across. It looks like I have a lot of this stuff already on the list. Good to know my head is in the right spot packing wise.

When does the turnover usually happen northwestern ontario? I am a little worried about the turn over effecting my fishing on the 16th-23rd of september. It is a good size lake, 10km x 3km but is only about 30' deep max. Am I in trouble? Mid August seems like a safe bet.

Wow that is a lot of information thank you. Also thanks again for the Map of the lake. I have it laminated and am going to leave it at the cabin for future use . .Thanks for the tips Mike... I believe those were already on the list.

It seems that fly-in trip season is well underway. I have one coming up in September out of 7 Lakes in Nakina and want to be as prepared as possible for the drive and the trip itself. Is there anything in particular that is a must bring that is maybe out of the norm? It could be for the fishing, boat, cabin, or the ride up. I would think with the list I have been making since March that I have almost everything covered but I am sure some of the veteran fly-in guys might have something to add. Don

Brook Trout Of The Taiga - Exploring The Asheweig River
BassMan11 replied to solopaddler's topic in General Discussion
I think people might be rolling their eyes just as you did at first. Personally I rule out the possibility of something living up there we don't know about. I would assume you would have to hear Leon tell the story personally to get the full effect. Thanks for sharing. -

Wow. What a great family trip Mike. Thank you for sharing . -
There are about 10 other d-men i'd take in the league over the -15 Karlsson. You can keep him. The Leafs primary point getters are forwards.

Portable transducer mount - Sully or home made??
BassMan11 replied to Burtess's topic in General Discussion
I agree Bill, I actually took it one step further and glued a square thin layer of plexiglass to the back of my boat for optimal suction. It has been great so far with no issues of coming off or twisting. Looks better as well -
Nice.

One man's wilderness The story of Dick Proenneke's time in Alaska in the cabin he built by hand! The short film he shot with a 8mm camera is great as well, it's on PBS once in a while. I am sure most have seen the movie, but the book is awesome as well. One Man's Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey: Richard Proenneke, Sam Keith: 9780882405131: Books - Amazon.ca
