  1. Saw them at Skydome during the Ballbreaker tour. What a show! Big wrecking ball smashed a mock building they had on stage then Angus runs out. Lots of j's passed around.
  2. I think there might be some truth to that. Just take a drive in 401 rush hour traffic and you'll see how selfish Canadians are. 90+ percent of cars have one person driving in it. Why aren't more people carpooling? Because of individualism...everyone thinks of themselves, wants to be in there own little space, and dosn't want to put up with a little inconvience to save gas and money. Gas prices are based on supply and demand, less cars on the road equals less traffic, less demand for gas and lower prices. I have been carpooling for 3 years now. Every time I suggest carpooling to commuters complaining about gas prices I get a funny look from them. People need to be more forward thinking instead of stuck in their old ways.
  3. Hooked up yesterday with OFC member (gone fishing) Scott. Hit the lake at sunrise. Fish were active and slamming senkos and spinner baits. Here is Scott with a decent largie. He caught this one with those garlic scented senkos, man those things stink. Throwing a spinner bait I nailed a nice size pickeral. Went to reach for the camera and she squirmed out of my hand, boucned off the boat and into the water. Morning bite was hot but slowed down as the day went on, however we were still catching fish. Surprisingly , small spinner baits were working good in the bright sun. We would burn them by thicker weed egdes and the bass would come out and slam em. Sometimes they would miss it, but throwing back a senko , sometimes we were able to nail em. We ended up catching alot of smaller bass in the 1 to 2lbs range. Overall it was a great day. Scott had to get to work so I dropped him off at the marina. I went back out to catch a few more fish. Tried working some lily pads...nothing. Hit a spot with some grass and nailed another bass. Then off to a spot with some wood along the shore. Had a bass boil up on my spinner bait but missed it. Threw in my senko...tick, tick...set the hook and missed it again. Threw back the senko again, this time twitching it hard and the fish explodes on it....
  4. Great report guys. We did pretty good on the Bog too. Early bite was awesome, walleye and bass, report coming. I figured you would have went to Simcoe for the smallies with the low wind.
  5. Yep thats the secret recipe I've been waiting for all summer. No topwaters, gonna try that tommorow. Fish were comming right outta the weeds and smacking the baits. Love seeing that bass wake. The wake from the 5 lber was huge. Reminded me of JAWS ,LOL
  6. Hit the Bog Sunday evening for a little fishing. Figured it would be slow due to the bright sunny sky and no clouds. Turns out I was wrong, first cast and the fish were exploding. Mangaged to boat about 20 largies in 2.5 hours. Figured they would be just as active the next day so I got to the lake at sunrise. Sure enough the fishing was on fire. Easily caught over 50 largemouth for the day. Biggest fish of the day (and summer) was a 5.5 lbs largie. Had a coulpe of 3's but most of the fish were in th 1-2 lbs range. Now I gotta nurse my bass thumbs.
  7. nice shore fishing. That dock looks a little wonky. Be careful
  8. They should set up a school like that here for all the newcomers to Canada
  9. Congrats, but why is the retirement age 65 in this country, should it not be 50 max
  10. Like Bill said...take all the VBS brake off the Curado (push the little red platic things inwards) ..maybe leave one in use, then that unweighted senko will be flying.
  11. Im hoping that most of it was blown into the water and not intentionally thrown in.
  12. Nice fish! We had to dodge a few of those flying senkos yesterday too. LOL
  13. Hit the Bog Saturday morning with Curt. Wasn't long before we both got into some fish. Curt slams this pickeral on a small spinner bait. And my first fish on my new rod/reel. Shimano Spirex reel and Schimitar rod. $95...pretty good setup for the price. We managed to get into a lot of large perch. Took several home for the frying pan. We managed to catch bass in all types of cover. Flats, pads, heavy slop. Lures of choice were small spinner baits and Texas rigged plastics. Here is Curt with his PB largie that hit 3lbs on the scale. Alot of fish were slamming the baits but couldn't get them to commit on the hookset. Near the end of the day, we hit a spot that always seems to hold bass/pickeral/muskie....and sure enough.... Overall not a bad day..gonna be having a fish fry today. Cheers.
  14. Well it certainly wont last 6 days, I would say 3 tops if your fishing hardcore.
  15. Great report. i fished Lovesick years ago..only caught a skunk.
  16. Has the pleasure of fishing with Curt again on Sunday. Hit the water at sunrise. Within 20 mins the fish were hitting. Pulled out this guy using a small spinner bait. Had about 3 more hits but couldn't connect with the fish. Moved to the next spot...Kings bay. Tossing senkos and Flukes again had several boils but kept missing fish on the hookset. Next came the bluebird skies and the fishing seemed to slow down for a few hours. Later in the day working a weed flat with spinner baits we had some cloud cover come in. We could'nt keep the rockbass of the hook. Curt was catching some with really fat bellies on em. Then he got into this decent largie. Now on to another area with lots of thick slop. Fishing was now on fire. Fishing blowing up on the baits everywhere. Bass jumping all around us. Its seemed like for every fish we were catching we were missing 2 or more on the hookset. Frustrating but fun, can't wait to get out there again.

  18. Well , since I have the same boat all I can say is great choice.
  19. You have to unhook your line from it when fighting a fish. What a joke!
  20. Try the mouth of Emily Creek. Tons of stumps in there, gotta go under the brideg I think. Looks pretty juicy in there.
