  2. That's cool, Dan, thanks!! BUT......I'm just grateful for the cool memories of the show, even though I feel REEEEEEALLY old.... SO, in keeping with the boards nature, how 'bout we donate it to Mo's 'Fishing for Tyler' event. I've been to two, & can hardly wait for the next one, AS LONG AS SUMMER COMES FIRST!! And besides, I travel with 6 rods, in 2 bundles.... Thanks again, Dan....
  3. I might be wrong, but I think Commander Tom's friend was named, like many bootails I know, 'Dustmop'. I once made my mom order me some cookie cutters from the show....
  4. Wow, VERY impressive Esox dude....
  5. Thanks all, she's still pretty stoked & looking forward to getting her next crack at a bigger one. I think we're gonna call it an honest 6 lb'er. I personally don't think it was an oz under 6, but without knowing what it really was, neither one of us is willing to throw around numbers like 6.5 or 7. Might make a nice replica.....
  6. Great report, Dan, and beautiful fish!
  7. Great guesses, guys, she'll be tickled to hear! JohnnyBass, great guess with The Bog, but t'werent The Bog this time. Close though. Goose Bay, Sturgeon Lake. The Bog's too tough to fish at night by this time of year, what with all of the floating weed mats & such. In June, you can cast & hear a 'splash', but by mid-July you only hear a 'splat'.
  8. Another one that was weighed on a digi scale was Mike's 7 lb 11 oz monster from a couple years ago.
  9. Here's two recent Largies that were weighed... Scott's 5.1 lb'er... Garry's 5.5 lb'er... Being the Musky folk that we are, we only measured this bucket she got on a Topraider on Sunday night. It came in at 21.5", but was pretty heavy. I told her it was at least 5 lbs., but maybe the Bass experts here on OFC could give us a better idea. So, how heavy was this Largie? She just bested her PB by half an inch, after last years 21"er...
  10. Those are Largies, not Smallies though....but nice ones at that!
  11. It wasn't a gas station, it was a bank.
  12. Great pics, dude, especially the sunsets!
  13. Atta boy, Cliff.....
  14. "Zero Tolerance" is the name of the game out there this year. The OPP warned everyone last year that 2008 was going to be "Zero Tolerance". Not only did another OFC'er mention this fact in a recent post, but you should already KNOW you need this stuff on board. I say, GREAT job for the OPP!! Your contribution will enable them to spend another day keeping our waterways safe....so, THANK YOU, to you!!!
  15. Your best report ever, Mark!! What a beautiful fish....
  16. We didn't make it back to the marina in time, but we did manage to wait it out & get some more fishin' in...

  18. That's awesome, Clive...
  19. This one was 32.5", and 18 lbs. AND, from a boat! I spend most of April & May chasing Carp & Sheepshead on Lake O. I use those outings to get the boat ready for the Kawartha season in June.
  20. I had one that I loved throwing spinnerbaits with, until Mr. Muskie decided to peel some line, causing a little plastic part inside to melt. The reel was at Angling Specialties in Concord for 4 months while he got the replacement part. It works good now though.
  21. I forgot to add the porn.... And to help further illustrate Daxs' point, here she is 'chillin'.
  22. Great info, Dax.... I'll be doing the same thing this year as I did last year, except I expect some sleep on Friday night. I went to a high school reunion on opening night & had a much better time than I thought I would & stayed WAY too late. So, I went from the reunion, changed clothes & headed to the lake. We went 2/3 pounding the shallows with oversized spinnerbaits, TEP baits to be exact. I'll do the same this year. Oh yeah, my partner for opener this year is someone I met at that reunion, & Tuesday of opening week will be our first year together. Kinda funny how Muskies & girls go together sometimes.....
  23. Sounds like CTC needs Metal Detector 'detectors'..... Glad it got worked out, Steve.
  24. That's sweet! Congrats, kemper....
