  1. I smoke like a chimney, but throwing butts in the lake is one of the most disgusting things anyone can do. I always used to carry an empty bottle so I could keep the lid on too. This year I bought one of those ashtrays with the funny lid, like a minnow trap. Worked very well.
  2. Pretty sure I saw Anvil/Sacrifice play the All-Canadian Thrash Attack '88 at the Concert Hall. But yeah, Slayer in 2 weeks! Must be something with November 13. While looking at my concert stubs, I noticed the first time I saw Slayer was November 13, & exactly 21 years to the day later, here they are again. This might be better, cuz now it's Friday the 13th! And yeah, I feel old...
  3. Says "I Love Big Girls" but I'm asked to not wear it when out with the g/f....
  4. Un-freakin'-believable..... I feel so much better knowing the meat was given away to friends.... If it's against the law to do what they did, they'll all be busted like the Sturgeon guy a month back. Hard to believe they're bragging about it on TV if it's illegal.
  5. Earl Ross. Won the 1974 Old Dominion 500 at Martinsville, by more than a lap I might add, using creative pit stratagy combined with an incoming storm. Race was over halfway & called, with Ross the winner. He was a teammate to Cale Yarborough at the time, driving for Junior Johnson in a car sponsored by Carling. You might be asking "why Earl Ross?" He's from Alisa Craig, Ontario. Still the only Canadian to win in Nascar's top division.
  6. Cram said all the fish looked healthy, & I pointed a bleeder out, & that's an issue?? Can someone else point out any negativity in my post? Being OFC, I knew someone would take issue with my post. Classic! Man, some of you guys really need to get a life.
  7. I see one bleeding from the gills.....
  8. I wish I had a chance like that with my late father, Skud. Good on ya too for the persistence!
  9. For sure....I'm actually in the habit of dropping the electric in so I can get away from the dock, if it's busy, then start the ignition sequence....
  10. I have a 1989 Merc 40 that does the exact same thing. Sorry, no advice to offer. I just keep doing the same thing.
  11. It's a good thing you inherited your Mom's strong spirit, Wayne, you've most certainly needed it this summer. Stay strong bud, & my deepest condolances.
  12. I work at Jane/7 & watched a funnel or 2 form out over the 400, from what I could see. I snapped a couple good pics, but a bunch of trailers got in the way of the funnel bottom. Pretty wild evening, that's for sure.
  13. Hmmmm, pretty sure if a fish found itself in a 'down current' situation, it'd probaby be smart enough to just simply turn itself around. I'm also pretty sure I've seen Rainbows do this ummmmmm.....lemme see.....oh yeah, ALWAYS. Dude, if you're saying I gave bad advice, you truly are one of the reasons I don't waste my time posting reports anymore. Also one of the reasons I won't bother giving 'bad' advice anymore. I'll let the experts like you do it for me...
  14. Yeah Cowanjo, don't take respected Musky angler Pete Maina's advice, he's just a 2-bit hack. By all means, take kickinfrog's. Oh wait, he didn't offer any advice....
  15. When holding them by the tail, the side-to-side thing sometimes get works, but the forward-backward thing is only putting more stress on the fish.
  16. Here's a great tip right from Pete Maina himself, that I've used countless times. When the water temps are high, there's more oxygen near the bottom, SO, point your Musky on a 45 degree angle, head down. You'll almost always get a twitch right away, & she'll be gone very soon afterwards. Ever notice when you're standing in a lake your feet are always colder than your waist? And NEVER pull a Musky towards you. This rushes water past the gills alright, but you're drowning the fish. That might explain why they don't swim backwards....
  17. 2 minutes out of the water seems like a LONG time to me. How'd you do if I held your head under water for 2 minutes? I would expect the same result.
  18. Good shootin', Todd, nice to see Dan & your Dad too...
  19. Awesome, thanks for posting these cool pics!
  20. That's why I only buy Schneider's bacon & hot dogs these days....
  21. 'Breaking Bad' with Brain Cranston. I think he won an award for that show. I missed the first season, but I haven't missed it since.
