  1. So you took a day off to fish, but only fished for 15 mins? Never heard that before!! Good job, enjoy your meal!
  2. captured these with my phone, wish i had, had my point and shoot with me that day.
  3. I had a professional photographer tag along one day...
  4. that's exactly what mine looked like, however mine was an otherwise blemish free specimen. I'm thinking now that it may be some type of infection.
  5. small pike, i think the picture is on my dead laptop.
  6. I have no idea what it is, but I have seen what I assume is the exact same thing, One pupil completely neon green. I have a great picture of it, I am just trying to locate it, its either on an old phone, or sd card. I have always wonder what could have caused it, and if its harmful.
  7. Up at a popular fly in lodge, I usually have some success and a lot of fun trolling buzz-baits with just a few yards of line out, right beside the boat. I don't waste a lot of time on this, and haven't caught anything huge, but watching them strike a buzz-bait right beside you is an amazing sight! BTW...Leaving for our 2012 trip next weds!
  8. south bend non removable are a good alternative as well. They are already fairly dark, and if you dont crimp them on too tight, they slide around fine on your shot/main lines. forgot to add, they are available at walmart
  9. genetically identical, its a behavioral difference.
  10. Ive never owned a scale, and dont carry a tape, the only measurement I got was the pike @ 44" These are all from 2009-2011. Im sure i have topped the lake o, and huron fish, but no pics=no fish. Lake O buck: Hen: G.B Buck: Hen: Huron: Pike Bass Walleye Brown
  11. I need help...... gettin her to come to the rock pile with me, if Ya konw what I mean. Har Har Har
  12. the fish in the bottom pic has the most aesthetic face i have ever seen on a fish. What a cutie!
  13. they clearly ask not to link to that page, as their servers can't handle it.
  14. Thanks for the comments. It hit in about 5 fow back trolling a black "Big Hammer" 5 inch swimbait on a 1 oz unpainted swimbait head. It was the last day of an 11 day trip, and i hadn't landed a big fish yet, so she was very welcome to come have a rest in my cradle for a few minutes. These big hammer swimbaits are amazing, They have a great balance of price, durability and action. These things swim great even with the slowest retrieves.
  15. This fish made me think...I mean will this fish actually grow into its head? It was unproportional to any fish i have caught before. Ive seen 42's that are obviously genetically maxed out, they look in proportion. Then you get a 38 that has the head of a 42, and a body that seems that it cant catch up, In my opinion the 38 with the big melon has the potential to be a monster, while the in-proportion 42 is about as big as she's gonna get. So if the moose( thats what i named her) actually grows into that noggin im thinkin g she'll be a 50+++ class fish
  16. 44 inch, guessing 30 lbs, based on a 46 i had on a scale that tipped 28.5.
  17. Its nearly 100% private and posted. If you do end up finding somewhere to fish it, please squeeze the barbs down on your hooks... you will see why.
  18. Personally, I don't agree with making them manditory. On a side note, last year my trip to kesagami overlapped Fantino's for 3 days. I must give him credit , he wore his police issue inflatable pfd even in the stagnant 30+ degree heat.
  19. If you are partial to GSDs then i highly recommend looking into Shiloh Shepherds. They are very similar in appearance to GSD but they are on average about 10-25% larger, with milder temperaments, and they are not quite as prone to hip problems. We have a small kennel with 3 dogs, however there are no litters in the near future. If you are interested i can help you get in touch with a few breeders, hopefully in your area.
  20. I've been a house painter for 15 years, and have cleaned thousands of brushes and rollers into my septic system with no ill effects. Now, I'm not saying that paint is not harmfull to the system, however I really dont think that you, cleaning out a few rollers/brushes will be a problem at all. What you can do is scrape out all the excess paint from the roller sleeve(a roller can hold about a cup of paint even after it "feels" dry). then drop them into a bucket of water and clean them in there. you can wash a few rollers in each bucket of clean water, just do a final rinse in a sink. good luck with the painting.....welcome to my world.
  21. Perch, sunfish, pike(.5-1.5lb avg), largemouth, crappie. There are no walleye in the lake. Its very shallow, averages about 5', and is very clear. There is a deeper hole near the back end that gets about 22'. Small spoons would probably be a good bet for pike, they sell live bait, but call ahead to see if they have small or large minnows. Google "island lake orangeville" Lots of info.
