I guess my signs were not big enough and bold enough or my truck parked in the field at the road entrance eh you pathitic :asshat: decided to dog the bush.All I could see from the thickets was 3 clowns howlling.I yelled out what the hell.They just kept walking. I get the hell out of my stand and get to my truck and head to the other end of the bush.what the hell No trucks or cars. Ok I know,it,s the cell phone game.I hear no shotting after 20 minutes .I sit and wait. Here comes a white truck,slows then drives off.I sit for another ten minutes and nothing.Must of booked it out on the other side. I put so much effort into my hunts and have these clowns just walk in like they own the place.In the back of my mind,I thought this might happen,but was thinking positive. Positive went for a crap. Im going to finish off this week,but this is my last controlled hunt.I,ll hunt from now on at pops. Atleast I know they didnt shoot any deer,which hopfully means they wont be back. SRY for the rude rant,but it is what it is. Trying to make it a report too,I seen a doe and a yearling.Loads of turkeys (go figure,and one huge yote. I was waiting for the little bugger to get in range,and it would of been lights out. I never seen one this big. Like a german shepard. I was surprised at the limited amount of shooting Time for a cold one and chill.

I find it funny we are asked to pay a fee for something that might save our life or others. Dont get me wrong here Lew,good on ya,but come on. Boater sees another in trouble and couldnt afford to take the course to call MAYDAY,MAYDAY. IMO it should be a given to all "NO CHARGE" just take the course for FREE.

I,ll be in the stands in the morning and the blind for the afternoon part of the day.Full days for me. Your right,you see so much more. Yes I was aware of the new rule/law. Lost the smell after 2 hours.The real stuff,you could smell for days. When we hunted as a group, we would use a buck or doe gland.Natural scent. TY Jacques

Arrived at 5:30am as always, and time to get my scent hanger ready. Yep,tampax make for a great scent hanger.Comes with tie string attached. Sat in the front field for a few hours . It was time to figure out where I was going to set up the ground blind for this up coming shotgun hunt which starts Monday . At first I was going to set it up in the thick greens,as this is where the big boys will hide,but I have one stand already in a good spot,so I went for a walk instead to see if there was any sign of good traffic and also, scrapes and rubs and bedding area. I start my walk to the north part of the property.Once I get there,Im seeing some good traffic spots and bedding.These deer change thier habits every year. Due to food plots and/or, maybe cause of the yotes. So I see a good spot to set up the blind. Another angle Here are a few vids of the area. Just might be the big boy hanging around after all. Checked all the bush stands out, and alls good to go. Back out in the morning to sit for bit again with the bow,then it,s iron time. Saddly,this weeks hunt will be with a bit of a heavy heart.A member of the hunt camp I used to hunt ,passed away from cancer this past week. His memorial will be Tuesday.The best way I can remember him, will to be sitting in my stand. Im sure he would want it that way. Yer in the big buck hunting grounds now Cal.God bless. The years that we have had these warmer then normal fall temps,I have seen scrapes later in the month and early Dec. I strongly believe it is different everywhere.South region to up north,temps are different making for different rut time.IMO No matter,it,s hunt,n time. Good luck,shoot straight and be safe out there,dont forget your orange wear.

Myself,I would like to be put down before I was dragged 400 yards.Bump,clip a branch and over some rocks,all on an empty belly. Nice buck and congrats to the harvester.

Catch 2 at a time,use a pickeral rig with a light wieght.

Bait shop has them.They are fishing the outside spit docks.Get here earlly. Marina docks no access.Once all the boats are out,they now CHAIN the doors.No more jimming the locks open.
