In a thread about perchen Barrie,I had mentioned that a derby like the one in Orilla could happen here in the fall and be successful.Well it seems to have come about. The barrie Rotory Club along with RackNReel are putting the fall event on.
Starting Sept 23 running til Oct 2 2011.
It,s in the examiner, but I cant find a link online.
Wonder if I can get royalties for this???????
I was going to talk about the ol days at the 4 sisters, where we use bottom fish for browns and bows and the odd salmon, using an egg sinker, a swivel as a stop and corkies, Hooks baited with either salties or skien, doing very well BTW,but it seems pinning is the way to go these days.LOL
Oh almost forgot,,,,,,,,,,,,
Leafs make the playoffs and get knocked out in the third round.MY VOTE.
One thing that stands out about this team then teams before, thier playing like a team. Not one player is sitting back counting on a few top guys to score.
Watching that Sens game,it was a total team effort. To bad Niel and Fisher thought they could change things with 2 minutes left.
Oh,what was fisher thinking anyways?
The Pens might be a threat ,but if the buds play like a team, the buds will prevail.
Thats one hell of a reno.
Sweet looking ride, and you got tunes to boot.
I might of missed it in this thread, but what you paid for the package and the total cost of the reno, would you get your money back if you decided to turn it over?
Again sweet ride.
Skud and I got out for a few ours this morning.Plan was for Doug to sit in the field stand and I was in my ground blind in the north end field. We arrived at 5:30 am. Pull into the field to drop Doug off,and were greeted with shiny eyes in the field.Boy these deer are earlly birds. No worries.Doug heads to the stand and with hopes of them coming back out. I head to my spot and set up.Blind goes up pretty quick and Im set and ready in 15 minutes.About half hour latter, the yotes are howlling.Need to turn the volume right up.

Holly molly, was it nippy this morning in the stand. There was frost on the pumpkin. Got out at 6 am and sat til 9:30.Have chores to do today, but it sure felt great to finally get out even if it was for a few hours. No deer seen, but the turkeys were out in full force. To bad they dont open until Tuesday.
Back out Monday with Skud. That will be a short stay aswell, being thanks giving and Skuds afraid of his wife .I,ll be out in the back field using my doghouse ground blind for the first time. The owner told me this morning, the deer were coming back out.
