Heres my thinking on this crap. Like Bill said,the Tiffen launch is free for all to use. (Not sure how long that will last) If your a resident,you can launch for free at the marina as well. All launches in Oro are pay to play. All their launches are crap. Innisfil has parking only with permit,and pay to play launches. It,s only been the last few years both Oro and Innisfil have gone to this. Why,well garbage is the big thing,and noise. Bear Point was a real busy hard water spot. Anglers showing up at 5am,starting up machines. Im sure that would piss off even you,if you lived there. BBP was the same. Now you got to park out at the golf course and drive/walk to the lake. It,s a hike from there. Ya I agree locals want it for them selves,but we as a whole,cause some of these issues IMO.

You don't have to pay at the Barrie marina Bill. You are a res of Barrie. That's the only one I use.

Dat would be the place Norm. Dan,I hear ya,but the walking/jogging path is a must.

After flipp.n for four hours,it took a bit to get the land legs back. Weird feeling. Nice float a boat bud. Need to work on a anchor for that. When the water cools,Im sure the bite will get real good. Im not into keeping perch ,that are out of bath water. Was a real fun morning for sure.

Since the rain fell 24hrs,and knowing the riv would be a wash,I invited my ole buddy up to try out his new vessel. It,s a nice vessel. Once we had it all pumped up and rigged,I headed out and awaited his departure. All this talk about high winds. Never trust the weather news. No rain,but for some reason,this rainbow effect was coming out of the ground. Ah here he comes now,,,,,,,,,,,,, ROW ROW ROW YER BOAT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,LOL The water is still really warm,but lots of fish to keep us having fun. Mixed bag of perch,small smallies and little buckets.

Chris. The combo I just bought,was for those colder days and I can get away with wearing mittens. Long river rod with a nice smooth ABU bait caster. I know it will work well. Been watching alot of the west coast you tube stuff. Thats why I bought it.. This combo is lighter then I thought. Cant wait to use it.

I,ll let ya know how it works out,,as Im going to be doing it on saturday out in Oro.
