All I really look at is the wind direction. What shore line will work best for me and my toon. That on Simcoe. Any other inland lake, it dosent matter.

Ok Here,s the next thing. Been watching the pros and cons of indicators. Some say the splash of a floating indicator spooks the fish. Im trying to wrap my head around this as a spinner will do the same thing, yet the fish will attack it. I see this indicator strike line. I think it,s pretty cool, but will take some time getting use to. What do you prefer? What are your pros and cons, thoughts on this ? As always. Thanks for your input. B Just a heads up. My next question will be, steel leader vs floro vs braid, for toothy critters.

I fish when ever, where ever. I dont rely on the calendar. If I did, I be sitting at home, drinking cold beer and eating burgers.Better to be fishing, Get home , cooking my catch and drink cold beer. If no fish, well, the cooking still happens, and the cold beers are always at the side. Bacon wrapped anything, is good anytime. This is, Hogwash

Looks like either way, more fishing trips are in the future. Albert I can remember hooking onto things at the bottom of the lake. Some were unmovable, some would just take time to bring up. I remember bringing up an old steel bucket full of corn. LOL Simcoe is full of surprises. I tried . LOL

No idea about the Bog, but Simcoe is up 2 ft still. It all flows down from here.

For a small lake, it has survived for 30* years. reminds me of lake Erie. Fresh in, old out. That,s how long I have been fishing it. Will it take more years of pressure? Time will tell.

Got my oldest out for a morning on the water with Terry. Thanks bud for doing this BTW. Was a long morning of not hooking fish. My son has been following my reports and thought hey, I want in on some of this action. I was sure hoping we would be on fish, but the past weeks weather has been crap. No stability . I thought I seen the rod in the holder bob a bit. Thought maybe a small fish that didnt take off the clip ( Simcoe lakers are known for this ). So pull the rod and well, fight was on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, We had a good laugh at the end. Was time well spent, non the less. We were sharing time on the water together.

Mr. B, I am so glad your here to tell it. Man, I remember so many bad crashes on that stretch of hwy from Brampton to Primrose. Again, glad to hear your ok bud.

Thanks for the heads up. Rainy day, so hit the store. Grabbed 4 frogs. The 2 black ones are cool. They rattle, I had to hit 5 stores til I found the knife. It is very nice. Quality is very good.

LOL now that's funny right there. Non rental boats made up 5% of the boats on that lake. Both rentals were all booked out every weekend. Now you have one with all the tinnies and potoons. Yes he bought all the ones off John. Do the math. That lake will not get a break.
