  7. Just heard Mc David signed for 100,million,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WOW http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/news/why-connor-mcdavids-next-contract-will-be-great-for-edmonton-and-why-it-might-not/ How the hell did they get that kind of money? Anyone have a break down on this?
  8. Yup, our local tackle bye has them. Have yet to try them.
  9. Let me guess, off the spit at heritage park? Yup, they are all around. Use a slip float. Better luck then for perch.
  10. Yup Paul is super busy this time of year, but I gave the heads up to my supervisor for parts. He got what he needed from Top Gun. Give him a call FF Like I said, he gets super busy this time of year. Everyone wants their bass boat on the water.
  11. And to think. If it gets hot enough to fry some eggs and bacon on that, I,ll be there. LOL Ya I know your serious .
  12. Simcoe has been no different. All this rain and high water has everything stupid. I tried adapting, but still a tough fish. The fish are just as confused as us. The weed growth on Simcoe is way behind. I have been seeing fresh cabbage weed, but it is sparse.
  13. PFFT You should see how nice the RAM looks after a spit and shine. LOL
  14. Thanks Fellas No going in circles bud. There is a knack to flipping the toon. I was still able to have enough motion with one flipper to drag a tube just at the right speed and straight. I can turn that thing on a dime when I want. LOL BTW That kitty was about 3-4 inches long. I think he or she, thought I was mama. LOL I was going to scoop it up with my hands, but thought different. Im sure the little stingers were still sharp enough to give me a prick. It just stayed by my toon for about 10 minutes. Was very cool.
  15. LIGHT Beer batter. Not bad. LOL
  16. I honestly can say, this has been my worse opener for smallies from the toon on lake Simcoe. I have flipped and rowed over 20 miles on Simcoe the past two weekends. My left ankle is proof ,as I seem to have torn some ligaments in it. Fishing injury. :-[ This is very painful for a tooner like me, and very troubling, since I have a weeks holidays coming in 4 days. None the less, I still have one good flipper foot and it has not held me back. I have flipped and rowed up the south and north shores of Kbay. The west side of the main lake. All areas that I have had great success with smallies. Yes I have managed some nice fish, but nothing like years before. Less beds seen, then years before. There was a report that they have been on fire. Maybe they all got burned up. LOL Yesterday, I was getting into some big perch while dragging for bass on a 4" tube. Not what I was looking for. Thats fishing. Being as they seem to be out there and the bass not, I decided last night, to spend the morning looking for a small feed for today. My last fresh feed was,,,,,,,,,,,,,I cant remember. :. I thought it was going to be a banner perch day. Oh I caught a ton, but the upper size was not like the day before. With only me,myself and I out there, it was a beauty of a morning for no one to bother us. I managed a few smallies on my way out to my perch area. Made me wonder if today was bass day, but none the less, I stayed on course to my perch area to get my feed . I wouldn't of been fishing for them if it were not for the temps being in the low 60,s. Anything warmer, and I wouldn't of even bothered. 12 fow, using Mizmo micro craw tube, casting away from the toon, dragging and hopping it, seem to be the trick to getting the bigger ones. With the winds shifting and the dark clouds moving in, I decided I had enough for my feed.A feeds a feed, and Im happy I had a fresh one So it wasnt the best Canada day long weekend fish for me, but it was a great weekend to be thankful we live in this country and these fish to fish for. What a great country we live in EH BYES,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ;D A few pics from the weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I spared ya the video version this time. That will come in a couple of weeks. Back lakes are on tap. LOL
  17. Good Monday,,,,,,,,,Works like good Friday for me,,,,,,,,,,,Fish and chips. Thank you Lake Simcoe once again.

  19. It was my go to, but this weekend, it really missed the mark. Called for SW and got dealt NW Saturday. Sunday was to be 3-6 km NW, arrived to white caps Sunday. Today was to be nil and well, it was from the west, then north, then south. All with in 4 hours. Im not complaining, as I still find a way and spot to get out fishing. They seem to add thunder storms to everyday. Not just them, but every radio station it seems. Covering their ass? LOL
  20. Take a large pork center cut. Cut as many chops from it you want and leave a nice roast for filleting. Once layed out flat, rub in your favorite seasons. I went with red and yellow curry, paprika and fresh onions..Dice the onions and lay over rub. Roll up, and tie. Rub a nice dry rub of your choice over the whole package. I have been on this heat kick lately, so a few extra chili peppers never hurt. 275 indirect for 3 hours Bath with a mix match of liquids for a sauce an hour before it,s done. Repeat every 15 minutes. Works for me. Time to chow down. Pretty aint it.
  21. I dont remember so much rain in a short period of time Paul. We have not had the drizzels, but down pours. Lake Simcoe is way up.
  22. Rain the last 7 days at some point. This morning was real nice. Home in time to filet out a pork roast, season it up,roll it,rub it, tie it and on the BBQ it is ,as of 5 minutes ago. Will see it in about 3 hours time. It can rain now til I awake in the morning, very early I might add, then it better be gone. I found a nice area with jumbo perch and the water is still cold enough to keep them. Enjoy your day.
  23. And happy to call you my brother,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  24. Thanks for all the replies guys. Like I said, I do the new video thing as it,s fun for me. If it,s not your thing, I get it 100%. Drew you made me think back to my high school days. I read the book ,Outsiders. I was trapped in it til the very end. I eventually seen the movie. Although it was cool, it was not as captivating. Thanks again guys. Will be doing a mix up.
