All the fun I had with the whities has come to an end. Still lots of ice,so it,s perch,n time. Im not a big percher guy and I dont use live bait,so using baits not so familiar to me is a challenge. The morning was beautiful. Little wind and the sun was coming up. Drilled my first hole and I was WT%#%$ Dirty brown water 1/2 mile out. Moved out another 1/2 and found some water that was fishable. First fish was a dink,then the 2nd was a whopper It measured 14 1/2 on the button. Pic does not show this fish justice Ended the morning with 6 perch. Just enough for a fresh dinner. .

I usually do not open my flap of the hut to anyone. Propane is to expensive, heat is my best friend out there, but this morning ,he begged like I was the cod father. LOL A quick few pointers, the keys transfered to me for the yamadoo, is all it took. Next thing I heard was, about %^^^# time. Arms flying in the air and doing the newfie jig. Well it was close.

What to do with these 2 fine fish ????????????? I decided to pouch them. Smoother with garlic butter and lay around a pod of fried rice. Works for me. I ate a whole one. That was just rude,but me loves my white fish. 90% of the blood line removed. Nasty crap that is.

Yup I ran an 8" with no issues. As long as you cleaned the whole out while drilling. I got probly 20 holes through 18". I now run a 6" ,as I only fish whities. If I go deep for lakers," which I hardly do " I do side by side. 6" Drilled 25 holes today. Light bar when I got home, 3. That was through 26" of ice. You want power and weight,drag that gasser around. I will bet,I will be drilled,set up and fishing,well before any gasser owner.
