Go with any BPS spinning combo, i got their cheep $39 Mega Tournament combo and it has worked amazing. The reel is super smooth and the rod has held up nice to pleanty of big bass, several pike a musky and now a big Salmon. For the cheep price of this combo i wonder just how good the more expensive BPS combos are.

I have been using the Yum Dinger for a few years now but i am now going to give the Gary Yamamoto senko a try. What color's should i consider trying? For the Dinger i like the 5" WATERMELONSEED, and the 5" BUBBLE GUM/LEMON SWIRL.
ok, i asked for peoplle to list the different species of fish they have caught this year. I listed the different fish i have caught, and thats that. Not sure as to why we are still going on about this.

I went down to my local creek this morning to try out a little fishing. I went to a small deep pool and let the current take my slip bobber and worm down and across it. The only two hit's i had were fish, both of witch i caught. I caught my first ever trout and my first ever salmon. I didnt get a weight on it but was it ever heavy. I fought this fish for a good 30 minutes running up and down streem. Here are my two fish!

I have never used a barbless hook. And i have never bent down the barb on a regular hook. After reading a few replies on this thread i am definately going to give it a try next season. If using no barb or simply pinching it down makes it that much better for releasing and health of the fish, i figure why not. Thanks and i will be sure to give this a try next year(my year for fishing is done )
I don't have a Ontario Regulations book on me and i would like to know some info of the creek/river fishing for salmon fishing in Oshawa. Saw somebody fishing at the local park today and am curious if people are auctually allowed to be fishing right now. Here is a picture of the area i was at.
So when can people start fishing and what time of year does it need to stop.
Thanks for any help given!!
