  1. Meh, I only tend to catch bass in the 1lb range with cranks...i'll need to experiment more with them also as i like to use soft plastics also. Good luck with ur post
  2. From what I have been told the fishing for the creek opens up on Monday the 27th(this upcoming monday). Just wondering if i'll see anybody out fishing for the trout/suckers. I'll be out trying to catch a few suckers and at some spots I saw good numbers of suckers in the 1-3lb range, water looks clear and well hopefully any rain will hold off until opener. Question -> When fishing for the suckers, i like to find them/see them if i can. I'll be using worms or gulp, now should i throw the bait on bottom with a heavy weight so it just sits there?
  3. Great fish, a little rough with it don't you think lol. ah nvm, they hung the thing from a tree! Think there allowed to do that?
  4. wow, great fish man! Congrads
  5. Now I think you need some more soft plastics dude, like dingers, solid coloured tubes. Maybe a few more cranks and x-raps also would do the trick. Now I don't have nearly as much as GBW has(Too Much) but what I have here get's me by. Also I suggest getting a tackle bag with the trays unlike I did, the box i have now is getting pretty heavy and a pain to carry around especially since i shore fish. Here are some pictures: Tackle Box- Hooks Weight's ect.. Inside (Soft Plastics) 2nd part to soft plastics Spinnerbaits/Buzzbaits Spoons/Bucktail Drawer #1 Cranks/topwater Drawer #2 Jerkbaits/heavy cover baits Drawer #3 Soft Plastic Swimbaits (New to me) Packaged Baits This is basically all I got + 2 container's of gulp alive and much more than I need to have a great time fishing with. Also thing's like plyers, hook sharpeners, reel oil, fishing ropes, and other various tools are important to get. Best of luck and with a little more tackle you should be fine, now just use what u got and buy what works for you not what looks pretty...
  6. Pretty good size Crappie, but I'm sure you will be able to beat that PB no problem! Thanks for sharing
  7. As some of you know i'll be going to Fleming college in the fall and well I only been to the town once and didn't look around to much to see whats there. Some of you may live close or in Lindsay and I'm asking what stores are there in Lindsay, any grocery stores/dept. stores? I'll be looking for a part time job to work at during the school year while I'm up there as long as it doesn't interfere with my fishing time lol. Thanks, Mike
  8. Thanks for the advice and suggestions guys, when i get out to BPS i'll take a look around and see what they have to offer for sunglasses. Tightlines, Mike
  9. Lol, thank you Highdrifter If i get the materials i will be sure to try out your sweet looking leader you made up ok. But where am i going to be able to get a foot of some heavy fluoro(maybe Gagnon's...anybody think i can get some there?). I'm surprised that those pike don't cut through that line but if i can i'll be sure to give it a try ok. Thank you Highdrifter and the rest of the OFC guys and gals that put up with my day to day questions
  10. Sweet ride man, get somebody to get some photos of you hitting waves out there! Hope to see lot's of reports soon.
  11. I got a pack of these Storm swimbaits awhile back...there orange and fairly heavy, guess i should pack them also eh
  12. Same item's and prices here at the Oshawa CT across from the Oshawa Center->lot's of great baits and item's not so great prices.
  13. I knew i should of changed this blanket today lol....bla bla bla were getting better you just wait bud.
  14. Ok so i have been going through my tackle and picking out some lures that i'm going to be bringing to GBay in some Plano cases. I got some spoons and leaders recently. I want to make up a "Quick Strike" rig for using large minnows also to go with my little pike tackle box aswell as get some of the suggested spoons and spinners from my other thread. Are there any other baits that i should get instead of others...As of now im looking at 2 more spoons and 2 spinners. Any spoons/spinners that should be first on my list at Canadian Tire? Thanks, also: What lb test should i use on this "Quick Strike Rig" i'm going to be making? Best Regards, Mike PS-I will not forget my team sign!
  15. I thought about using it but like i don't know...I never really owned anything old like this and well, i don't want to snag it...maybe i'll keep it in the tackle box for that perfect cast on the perfect lake one day.
  16. I'm not going out right on the opener but soon after it. I'm going to Parry Sound to fish the Georgian Bay, can't wait
  17. Wow, you did a great job man. I'm guessing you put in a water pump/aerator in that livewell of yours, love the big bulky storage compartment for the tackle, very smart idea. I give it a 10/10! Well done.
  18. Good for him, it must be hard to go down there and do well in a tournament but from the looks of things he did very well. Congrads to him, that will be me one day
  19. oops, thought you ment spider wire. Sorry no input from me dude.
  20. Thats like me also, i fill my 2 reels with about 90+yards of fishing line and i almost have to respool part way through the season
  21. I caught 2 little pike last summer and we kept them...most likely won't keep them if there over 30" long. As for musky, We might keep a little guy if the regulations approve of it's size.
  22. Both conservation and enforcement. Too many people out fishing out of season and keeping lot's of fish. As well as it would be nice to see some more shoreline cleanups and stocking. But #1 to me is enforcement, we need more Conservation Officers at least double what we have now.
  23. Nice job Bucktail, great fish for our team!
  24. Wow, old reel indeed. I also picked up some older rods by a name that i dont even know. (on the sticker it says the following: Compac-C.G.Emery International Limited. Markham Ont. L3H 1A9) these 2 red rods have old steel or aluminum guides, those red rods are 2 piece and look to be 5' 10" in lenghy + i found two South Bend Icefishing rods...probably not going to use the rods or that lure i found but it's neat to own some older tackle. Great reel again tho, hopefully we can see some other old items in this thread.
  25. Sorry i thought I had the 3rd picture up Kemper, it's the 9G with the Finland stamp on the bottom. Take a look.
