  1. was at my grandparents house yesterday and in the basement I found a old Rapala lure, still in the box never used, instructions on how to use it also with the price tag with a ($1.85) I thought it was pretty cool, and this bait looks very similar to the lures rapala makes today. Any clue on how old it might be?
  2. Very hard to grasp indeed, maybe finding a phone book would help to eh. Thanks for the help, we didn't think of that already
  3. My grandparents have a house that is full of JUNK, they also have a fair sized gararge that needs to be emptyed out. They need to find a company service where they can rent one of those big garbage bins for a weekend or something. We are in Oshawa and they are looking for a website with a approx $$ on how much it will cost. As anybody there looking to pay the lowest and get the best deal. Any help for them would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in adv, Mike
  4. My uncle has a Princecraft with a 50Merc on the back and it has been great, I'm pretty sure it's 4 years old now. No regrets or problems that i have heard of except for him scratching up the trailer lol. My vote would be on the Princecraft. Good luck!
  5. Nice setup man, what lakes do you fish from during the summer months. I might see you out on Scugog once.
  6. They were a$$ O's to me. I tried that but i needed me receit and the case it came in...i had nothing but the lure...still waiting on what Rapala has to say.
  7. Trailer Park Boys was AMAZING, hell even my buddy got up on the stage with the boys and played the character "Cory" lol. Was a great show and i would say it's a MUST SEE for the next time they roll into town!
  8. I have heard of people using small rodents even small cats for musky fishing. Now this is that I have heard over the years, like people trolling a cat or a live mouse or something. So my question is, is there any truth to these tales that people and myself have heard about. IMO if this tale was to be true i would 100% against it.
  9. I sent them a e-mail about my problem, i agree Rapala makes great baits and i'm sure after this issue is resolved i'll like them even more. Thanks for the contact info and i'll be sure to update you guys on the outcome of this. Thanks, Mike
  10. Can you help my find a costomer service e-mail address, i can't find one on there site. Any help would be great!
  11. Ya but you don't understand there is water inside my bait man...like the rust is on the inside..
  12. I bought some X-Raps over the winter and when Pike was still open up on my trip to Kingston I tried one out. Going through the tackle box today putting away some new stuff i noticed that there is some rust like stuff on the bait...i take it out and there is a orange like liquid inside my XR10 XRap! and i cant even find a hole in it...the ironic thing is i only used for for maybe 10 casts and its full of water. Maybe i got a deep diving jerk bait now but i'm still pissed off that my nice little x-rap is going to be EXTRA heavy I guess i can salvage the hooks if it doesnt work alright, this bait will just have a "crayfish" glow to it. Any Thought's or similar problems?
  13. Going to the GM Center tonight to see the Trailer Park Boys, just wondering if any OFNrs are going to be there. It will be great, not sure if I can bring in a camera though
  14. First of all, Congrads to Crosby for lighting up the lamp tonight first, then congrads to Malkin for getting the assist. Now, my prediction for the 2009 Stanley Cup Winning Team Is:..............................................................The San Jose Sharks, and I always have a back up so that will be my Pittsburgh Penquins! I either want to see Crosby life up Stanley or Marleau...no other team. Let the playoffs continue!
  15. Great report dude, but what was that silver looking fish? Some kind of Crappie? Thanks for sharing!
  16. ah Canada's second best show...first being the Trailer Park Boys
  17. My fav mono is 12lb Trilene Extra Smooth Casting XL. Been using it for several years now and i have had no issues.
  18. I do lol, i'm still fairly new to OFC and I know it's been around for awhile so hey i have my curiosity
  19. same question, who here on OFC has the most posts...just curious
  20. Get a pack of Gary Yamamoto Senkos or Yum Dingers (5") Get either bait in the pink colour and look for some circle hooks, hook the bait right through the middle(wacky rigged). This is a great set up and you can learn how to use these baits in both deep and shallow waters, clear and weedy waters also. Aside from that little setup i agree with some spinners and spoons and topwaters. But get a pack or two of tube's and proper jigs for them. These baits catch both large and small mouth bass and even lot's of decent sized pesky rock bass. (Green coloured tubes work very well) Here are some link's so you know what to look for: Senko: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...__SearchResults Dinger: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...__SearchResults Note: Both are very alike but Dingers are less money. Tube's: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...__SearchResults Note: this brand along with Berkley is what you will most likely find at a local canadian tire or wal mart Tube Jigs: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...__SearchResults Note: Go with anything from 1/4 oz and lower...unless your fishing very deep rough waters. Insert the jig head into the tube pop the "eye" of the jig through the bait and tie ur line on, cast er out and pop it up and off the bottom letting it fall back down frequently. Hope this helps you out, Mike
  21. I wear prescription eye glasses and i always have problems with clip on glasses for fishing with. I have been looking at sun glasses that go over my glasses on the BPS site. Just wondering if getting these would be a good idea, there are good reviews on the site but I wanted to see if I could get a bit more re insurance on this issue...also $$ is a factor so prescription polarized sun glasses is not a option at this time These glasses i have been looking at are called Cocoons Over-Glasses Sun Glasses. Any OFC Reviews? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...artNumber=97837
  22. That's true...there are a few various spots there the bottom is dark in colour but I'm still not sure if it's fish or not. I'll be out tomorrow to do some fishing recon.
  23. Why can't the suckers be at my local creek yet Great report, i know there coming! Thanks for sharing
  24. Thank you and same to you and the rest of OFC!
  25. Water has went down a lot with this nice weather we have been having, and it's got a lot clearer. Once again, I saw 2 trout (1 very silver, 1 kinda brown & purple) in the current before my "secret pool". Still not seeing any suckers at all, were suppost to have nice weather all nxt week so the water will be extremely clear. *Oshawa Creek Update*
