  1. Yikes - what a beast! Gotta go sharpen some hooks....
  2. Hey Gerritt, that suitcase would be my golf carry-all.....and I can't go there without my sticks! Rob, I think I'll cut off some of that lucky hair of yours....now that's karma. As for shore fishing, when my feet are on solid ground - my hands will be occupied by golf clubs or drinks (or both)! :-)
  3. Thanks Guys - I'll check out both options. :-)
  4. Well, I have to give up some quality early season action on Lady 'O' to head to the Dominican for work in April. Any advice on charters there would be greatly appreciated! SS.
  5. Some good advice from the Boyz! I have used the c4 5600, calcutta and morrums for casting and they are all good - my personal fav is the morrum though. I find it the smoothest running of the lot. Depending in what you can pick them up for, the c4 can be a great value though. For trolling, I have used the c4 6500 and the Okuma catalina - and it is the catalina hands down. :-)
  6. Team Billy is first rate!
  7. Power goes out - just hook up your marine battery to your power inverter. Works as a good residential solution!
  8. Congrats on the new ride!
  9. Sorry Leaf Fans, but I couldn't resist! 10. Yup, that's BPS. Try JBs or wait to the Outdoor show (or whatever it's called now) and pick up a Compre from LeB as they will most likely pay the taxes. :-)
  11. You'll enjoy the moon and Bill at Moon River Cottages is a great guy! Careful though - it has taken a prop or two. :-)
  12. That's the beauty of a community like this - information is transferred very quickly. As Economists would say, the 'shoe leather' costs of gathering information have virtually disappeared. I work too hard to pay extra for any commodity - so, I choose not to. If you choose to pay the extra cash - I'm cool with that too. So, Gerritt and I will get great deals from a vendor who is a whiz with the Lowrance/Eagle product line. It's all good in the hood!
  13. Off to woodstock we go....
  14. They are in woodstock and I'm heading there tomorrow to pick up a chartplotter for an awesome price - PM me if you would like me to assist you. Roy - well said!
  15. Give Jos a call at Angling Outfitters (519-539-5494 ).
  16. Love that last one!
  17. Check out these photos and read the caption under the first one before going to the bottom one. Look at the picture above and you can see where this guy broke through the guardrail, right side where the people are standing on the road (pointing). The pick-up was traveling from right to left when it crashed through the guardrail. It flipped end-over-end, across the culvert outlet, and landed right side up on the left side of the culvert, facing the opposite direction from which he was traveling. Now look at the 2nd picture below...
  18. Hey Lew - I have the Daiwa LCs and the Okuma Catalina LCs and there is no comparison. Historically, Okuma had some issues with the Magdas and Convectors. Today, the Catalinas and the Shimano Tekotas are the LCs of choice for most of the serious Salmon guys. Bonus: after the spring walley hunt you can throw braid on the Catalinas as they can handle the big Muskies. :-)
  19. Perhaps he is entertained by the flowing golden locks.....
  20. First Rate - that one is heading out east tonight!
  21. Love mine...is the only way I can get the boat in garage! Mine was from the factory - I believe Aaron Shirley knows a welding shop not far from you that does retro fits. :-)
  22. Very nice indeed!
  23. Never a dull moment..... :-)
  24. I love my Hitachi 51" HD Rear Projection CRT! Oldschool.....sort of.
