However I have to work on my weekends that I don't have my kids and the one area I could hit up close to homer after work is still closed for a few more weeks (sanctuary). I had a wild one years ago follow me around like a pet when I was home. Even let me pet it and the kids get close most of the time. Yes the bird is nasty and poop all over but they taste so good when in season as a buddy hunt's. No I didn't "cook my goose" so to say.

I just got back from a little walk around there as I was coming home from dropping off my kids and there are a few eye's left mixed in the large amounts of small perch and odd gill. Even a nice size bass hanging out with the bigger perch.

How do you sharpen a dull hook? Me; I use a hockey skate stone. $2.50 and works better then the battery one's places sell. Other way's and ideas please share.

Well good luck when you do get out! I'm still weeks away from a boat trip. May try and convince the kids to hit the local legal side of the river in town tomorrow for some crappie. But no they want chicken for dinner...
