  1. mmmm walleye, nice size too. must have made a good snack...
  2. I say mount the rod holders and forget the planer boards. Since your in a 14 footer I don't think you'll be heading out with 4 people in the boat right? Planer boards are nice when you have a bunch of rods out and want to spread them out or when fish are easily spooked my the boat (which muskies are most often not). Like mentioned above, run at least one line in the prop wash, I often get hits on that line. Have a good one
  3. Crappie, Bass, Walleye and MUSKY in one outing... that's awesome.
  4. Nice smallie. Nothing fights like a big SM.
  5. I don't see a problem with that method. Although I've never had a fish get me that far on my line, so maybe it's wrong. But none the less that's how I do it.
  6. They're so much fun to fish with. For color , I usually go with black or white . I find a good technique is to wait a little while after your initial cast before moving the bait (like until the ripples fade) , and then start a slow retrieve. A lot of times bass will hit it just as you start moving the bait.
  7. Instead of foollin' around with the motor, just back troll. It'll slow you way down.
  8. 4 for 4 that's pretty darn good. I wish I had a record like that. Nice fish.
  9. Man that sucks big time. I hate landing a boat with a standard truck. Glad your ok though.
  10. The only 2 I buy other than Rap are. Cotton Cordells and Heddons. But mostly I buy Rapala
