Since selling my truck I decided to go back to a manual ice auger. I can pick one up this weekend at Sail for $65 (after tax!) for a NORDIC TELESCOPIC DRILL 6" or ship to my door for $80 (again after tax). No other store in the area comes close to this... Deal end Sunday for those in need...
  2. True
  3. Congrats on the cool gifts and I'd bet the parts are the same as Eskimo
  4. Damn chipmunks... You had a better day than I did... Merry Christmas Mr B
  5. Right back at you and the rest of the crew here. Merry Christmas!
  6. I still have plan B as an option if things don't go well for you.
  7. HAHA, you might end up a bit dizzy from the impact but hey, your call... LoL
  8. It's just a software update. Don't go 4x4'ing if you don't do the update ASAP as the A-B may pop on a stiff bump.
  9. Oh and check your truck for the following: #18-NA-351: Unwanted Deployment of Roof Rail Airbag, Driver and Passenger Lap Pre-tensioner Deployment - (Dec 5, 2018) It's a new one and not all VIN's are affected.
  10. I really like that ZR2 trim package on that truck! Lots of nice looking accessories for it too!
  11. PM me Jimmer if you want me to see if a Lindsay local (Chevy guy) can give you a look over and or hand if you want to put a little $$ in to take a chance.
  12. So your fuel millage was really good then to get to the honey hole from his place! Nice fish and congrats on a new PB
  13. York Electronic's and M.A.S.S. are the two companies my dealership use when an OEM one isn't an option for the install. A 1-way starter will start the car when you are in range. A 2-way will send your key fob a message back to let you know it has started and most of the time a 2-way has a longer range to start. So if you cannot look out and see if said car/truck/suv/van is started then a 2-way is a better option. Labour can be anything from 1 hour to 3 all depending on what it (remote) can do and what the wiring is like to set it up.
  14. That's great to hear! Happy for all of you Mr B.
  15. Enjoy and good luck with the rest of the time there and catching more fish! Keep the pic's coming for those of us waiting on ice...
  16. If he's close and needs warranty work then just maybe. More than likely as I'd say close to 50% our service customers are ex GM in some way and STILL get a discount.
  17. RE: the bold part, nope the industrial area where Fleetwood was is still far from a busy or even used area. I've only lived in Lindsay for 5 years now and zero new there. Even the call center is closing next month cause that site when union and other nordia's are doing well. The 2 or 3 union sites, not so good, more so cause one closed in Lindsay Dec 22... I work at the Chevy dealership in town as a service advisor and since this started I've been asked MANY times a day how things are going to change or going to affect US (town and my dealership) and I give my honest answer till I know more and my answer is this. "You could see it coming for years as I lived in Durham not that far from the plant but it's not just Oshawa that is closing, there are other NA locations too. We here will be just fine"
  18. that's a pic from a "I hope to catch a fish day but I didn't so here's what I've got" and yes I've been there. We call them Sunset pic's...
  19. Somethings just get stiff if the breeze get's it just right... NICE FISH TJ!
  20. the person I quoted has retracted the quote so here is to a small glimmer of hope...
  21. Just seen on FB (10:20PM Oct 17/18), he has "been found" so I take those words as a body has been recovered...
  22. BAAAHAHAHAHAHA ??
  23. More info on the story here https://www.durhamregion.com/news-story/8968245-police-fire-marine-units-scouring-lake-scugog-for-missing-canoeist/
  24. Think of the math this way for tire season; tires on rim's cost less TIME and $ to change over. If you plan to have said car/truck/suv longer than 3 years the steel wheels are paid for in the change over cost saving's in that time. I will always run snow's on a dedicated set of wheels to provide better savings to me in all aspects, fuel, change over, life of tire, it all works out less cash out of pocket with good products in the end I've found.
