Stunned. I had the opportunity to fish with him twice and had numerous emails back and forth about different subjects. He was always thoughtful and precise with his responses. His obituary notice just shows even more of the depth of that man. I will miss him .

I had the same result 20 years ago in the meat industry. I was headhunted by a competitor.. Two weeks into this and I have to make a decision. The new job was 30% more pay, and extra week holiday, benefits started day one and an extra $250.00/ month in my car allowance. I could not sleep the night before I had to talk to my current employer. They had treated me very well and I like working there. When I talked to my boss the next day, the first question she asked was if I had signed any papers yet. I had not. She said she neede to make a phone call and would be right back. Three minutes later, her boss was on the phone with me and matched the other companies offer. I accepted it and stayed there two more years.
