I agree!! and welcome aboard! Personally I live in northern rural Ontario where there is fish aplenty. Our, well my personal philosophy is kinda geared towards fishing to eat, but by no means keeping everything we catch. Just about everything up here is fit to eat and its a big part of my families heritage is to do just so. that being said, we only keep what will be immediately eaten, if we have a taste for fish that day (I couldn't tell you the last time I had fish in my freezer) and if we are not eating fish that day they all go back in the water. Plus when we do keep them, we generally keep the smaller ones and let the larger specimins go back to spawn. Annual General Meeting and Fish & Wildlife Conference in Mississauga. "We are delighted that Prime Minister Harper has accepted an invitation to speak at our annual conference," said O.F.A.H. Executive Director Mike Reader. "O.F.A.H. members represent a broad cross-section of the outdoor community. Annual General Meeting and Fish & Wildlife Conference, will be held March 19-21, 2009 at the Delta Meadowvale Resort in Mississauga, and will draw hundreds of attendees. The agenda includes a variety of speakers covering such timely issues as the provincial moose program review, hydro power, and the youth demographics of angling and hunting. The conference culminates in an awards banquet on the Saturday evening, at which the Prime Minister will speak. The Conservative platform includes scrapping the long-gun registry and overhauling Canada's justice system, putting more police on the streets and increased security at the border. Harper believes, as do many O.F.A.H. members, that law-abiding firearms owners are not a threat to national security, and that billons of taxpayers' dollars have been wasted on the gun registry. The Federation supports Mr. Harper's plan to scrap the registry and redirect the money to addressing the illegal trade in firearms that is smuggling guns into the country for the sole purpose of committing crimes. This will be the second time Mr. Harper has addressed Federation members. While leader of the opposition in 2005, he delivered the keynote at the annual conference. Stephen Harper was first elected Canada's 22nd Prime Minister in February, 2006. He was reelected for a second term in October, 2008. The 81st O.F.A.H. LOL... dammit... i was gonna get some wine and candles... Personally i agree with Holdfast ..(was that my outside voice???) not that he was dissing Stoty... but personally I think we are all responsible for what happens in our own lives.. ive made some major career changes and some major moves.. ive left some very lucrative jobs to make enough money to have the privilage of seeing through the floorboards of my vehicle for a few years. LOL.. I went to a g2g once and had my wife drop me off so my "friends" wouldnt see what I was driving. Dont get me wrong but we only get to live one life and you need to charge ahead at full steam.. if someone lays you off they obviously didnt see how valuble you were.. so dont get mad... get even and show the world what your made of!! Hit the ground running. Theres no other way to roll. Uee that EI cushion and dont waste ANY time.
