Great report. Gotta second wayne's comment on that final picture of the sunset .... simply beautiful. That's the part of Ontario that I just love to be a part of. Heading up there myself for the last two weeks in September .... can't wait.

Sorry folks .. the pike tournament winner has just locked in. Good things come in threes they say. 1). Won the Extreme Angler pack of goodies. That's number 1. 2). Received an E-mail today from Teresa that I had won a subscription to Esox Angler. That's number 2. 3). Next up, the Pike Tournament at Lakair. That must be number 3 ! You may as well just sit back at the camp and put away a few cold ones. (Watch you're shoes ... it's starting to get a bit deep now).

I purchased the Lowrance H2O unit and MapCreate 6 Canadian Topo. I've already made a few maps for my trips this year and have them loaded onto the MMC. Seems pretty easy to use, both the unit and the software. Haven't had it out for some real world, on the water usage, so I'm anxious to play around with it during our LAKAIR GTG

As I was reading through these posts this morning, the handle EddyK sounded oh so familiar. The more I read the posts, there just had to be something more. Then it hit me .... EddyK and I had exchanged some PM's a little while back when he was moving to Delta. EddyK was asking about the area and the fishing. I've stopped by Delta a couple times on my way to Rideau Ferry and we had a few exchanges. His last PM was to invite me to stop by when I pass through the area this July and say HELLO and I was thinking of doing just that. Dang (wish there was an emoticon with tears).

Holy Cow Lew ... I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. My deepest sympathy and prayers to you and your family. Nice touch on posting the pics of you guys together.

Great report MJL and love those landing shots. Some monster sized carp there and I'll bet you had a good time hauling in those girls.

Love those scenery photos, looks like a great little place to camp out. Just how beautiful your first two shots are ...to be completely destroyed by your third pic. Absolutely disgusting and it would be nice if those responsible could be caught. Kudos to you for taking the time to clean up the mess and restoring the place to its natural beauty.
