  1. You can't be sure of that, the suspects mom was a kindergarden teacher. Maybe this guys wiring was crossed or shorted out. How can you justify actions like that other than to having to consider the guys brain was not working right. Some folks just aren't right in the head. You have to feel for the family of the victims and the suspect.
  2. What a compliment to an under achieving team, an under achieving goalie!! Good luck with that :clapping:
  3. Actually Dax, I just hate seeing a guy (no matter who it is) ripped for doing the right thing. A guy catches a really smokin fish, lets it go and then gets dragged over the coals by a bunch of jealous key board kings. The only side I'm on is the side of fairness. I'd even stick up for you Dax, if you were ever to catch a big Muskie
  4. What a ridiculous statement! So how the hell would you know? Seriously, do you know Dale? Were you there? Did you measure the fish? Sound like a clear cut case of envy to me! I have a question for you. Have many 60"+ fish do you know of that have come from the Larry???????????? They don't get as big as Gbay, lol please! What a joke
  5. Long 3' plus steel leaders for trolling are pretty hard on Muskies. We experienced a Muskie on LOTW's that hit a Legend perch bait with a steel leader and it rolled in the line. Let's just say the steel leader was not kind to the scales,it was replaced with a fluoro leader and has been retired. That said, 12" single strand are always on my casting rods.
  6. x3, Mike is one of the most decent people I've met, and is sincere with his advice. As for the fish, beauty job guys, it'll be that much funner when you don't stress on losing a fish due to a net that is too small. :thumbsup_anim:
  7. I did that once, now I have a spare boat key in my wallet!
  8. you may also want to consult an engineer on how to divert water away from the house from the up side of your property. Gravel beds and weeping tiles just below grade can be very efficient for water diversion.
  9. Your house is going to have even more major problems if you don't fix this asap. You need to excavate the entire perimeter and apply an epoxy crack filler, then re spray the foundation with tar, then apply either a delta or platon membrane around the entire house. If you don't have a very efficient sump in place , you need one. New, properly installed weeping tile, connected to the sump pit, c/w at least 2' of 3/4 granular fill around the weeping tile, do the whole perimeter with granular up to 1' from grade if you can. Sump pumps do not only control water coming up, they also deal with excessive ground water drainage issues. You have a major problem, good luck.
  10. Doesn't that just come naturally when you cheer for the ..... Ahhh... nevermind!!
  11. I'm not a real big talker when I'm fishing with a bud, don't know why, just am not. Maybe thinking too much about fish When I have a new angler in the boat it's a different story, I'm all too happy to educate them on fishing everything. I'll also say I really enjoy fishing alone, gives me total piece of mind.
  12. I'll have to try them!
  13. My Bolle Venom's are awesome. I also have a pair of Blue water Optics, which are super durable, light and have amazing lenses. Can't go wrong with either imo. Bolle $120 BWO $200 worth the money
  14. Well I wasn't able to find a replacement body housing for my old Cannon Mag 10, the parts were discontinued and none to be found 2nd hand, so I spent the cash to by a new Cannon Mag10, and man are they fast. And the stop feature at waterline is awesome. My inaugural run with it was a complete success, with 3 kept and another 8 released, action was fast and furious but shut down when the rain picked up, which is weird because the trouts have never been affected by rain to me before. he's a couple of the keepers. This one came up from 140'down in 160 fow Destined for the smoker..lol This one pulled 50' of line twice before hitting the net. Great day again on the water
  15. The Daves insanity, 357 and Ass sauces are applied, during cooking, one drop at a time. Any more and it's overpowering, but at that rate it's very flavorful and adds just the right amount of heat to make you sweat and hyperventilate a bit...lol My wife and kids won't go near it. As far as Bhuts, or any other pepper for that matter, bring it on, I'm a well seasoned hot stuff eater. I put 4 bhuts into a sauce for hot wings and while it burned my face off, I loved it. Some can handle it, some can't. I got the hottest wings made at Wild Wings, was warned by the waitress and then pounded them back like nothing, the next day was a bit different though :w00t:
  16. The Bhuts are awesome, I haven't grown them but I buy them regularly, I used to grow the Mexican super red hots and they were hot. I also like the hot sauces with 357, Daves ultimate insanity and Ass in hell being a few of my faves. My buddy and I have hot wing contests(maybe a few beers involved) and the Bhuts are pretty crazy for heat. You kinda feel a body numb for a day after..
  17. Clean water- yes, dirty scummy sandy water-no. If dirty, just rinse off and open up to dry, then oil.
  18. I'd offer to meet you, but i'm fighting some heat stroke from work last week. If you want a few spots, call me tomorrow when you're in town. 613-324-0885
  19. PM me a price, we'll talk
  20. When are you in Ottawa?
  21. Its apparent one of my downriggers is kaput, the housing is disintegrated and there are none to be found. I'm running Cannons and like them, so I think I'll stick with them. I'm not into spending $1000 + so I've narrowed it down to either the mag 5 or the mag 10. I'd like some feedback on these 2 models if possible and if the telescopic arm is worth the extra money. Thanks
  22. Nice!! Congrats!! Was that the Larry or the Ottawa? I think you said you were doing both eh?
  23. Water levels are way down, temp is up and it's dirty, probably from lack of current. Its been so hot I haven't been out on the Ottawa since June 24th and will likely not go out until August at this rate. We need rain and cooler temps. Lakers have been good lately though
