I think teams in the East should be very concerned with the Pens, they very well could win it all!

Yes, the Sens were built starting from good ownership, Melnyk has always done what's best, including a good GM. Murray is a quiet behind the scenes GM who has tons of experience and has now picked a good coach. Maclean, although a first year coach, was with Detroit for so long, winning has just got to be in his blood. The Sens have always(with the exception of 2 seasons) built on the draft and farm team, the seasons they didn't(Kovalev) didn't work and now they are back on track. I'm just thankful they didn't trade away picks like Brian Burke did or things would be different now. Things are better than expected and look very promising down the road. We have prospects coming out the ying yang and all are being touted as potential game changers, is a good way. That said, as a HOCKEY fan, I sincerely hope the Toronto Maple Leafs get it back on track so we can see a good, intense rivalry again in the battle of Ontario! I don't see it happening with an ego driven, can't wear a tie right, my crap don't stink, holier than thou piece of work like Burke!(I never did get good vibes of him)

Well, well Gerritt has some input, even though it has nothing to do with the topic! No input either subjective or objective, no positive contribution to the topic, which is not hockey, but as a Sens fan I'm smart enough to differentiate. Nope, nada, just insults and jabs, can't say I'm surprised though. Back on topic, if anyone is not concerned with Harpers direction with laws protecting the environment, you should be! This will ultimately open the door for future assaults on not only the environment but the rights of anglerd and hunters as well. Up until now Canada has been a global leader in environmental protection, but in Harpers endless pursuit of cuddling up to American politics and dollars, it will change.

I think Harper has (since his majority) shown his true colors. As if proroguing(sp?) parliament wasn't enough. The Harper regime will do whatever, whenever they want and don't give a rats ass what anyone thinks. I said it before to all conservatives, be careful what you ask for, you might not like it. And this is only the beginning.

Scotia bank place against the leafs is like taking my purebred lab to the dog park and a bunch of yappy ornery little pocket dogs won't leave you alone. I witnessed a leaf fan sucker punch and knock 3 teeth out of a Sens fans mouth for simply razzing the leaf fan after a loss. The leaf fan looked to be in his 40's and the other guy was just a kid, probably 20. I've sat with my dad and had to listen to F bombs dropped by leaf fans like they were getting paid for profanity. My dads in his 70's, do you think he enjoys that? I have seen leaf fans staggering around pissed to the gills puking in the garbage cans. All because they wanted to go "out cheers the sens fan in our own building", come on. You call that being a hockey fan??? I don't!! Ignorant, disrespectful, out of control little asses if you ask me! There has been a few time's my old man has saved a leaf fan form a beating! So how did the laffs do last night boys?????????? Another year with no playoffs and as far as I'm concerned it's karma! So let me get this right! I'm supposedly of a lesser intellect because I'm not a laff fan, I don't know hockey and I regurgitate senseless comments not worthy of consideration. Hmmmmm.....seems to me I have stated some obvious, made some opinions and have done do without getting personal to individuals. I have also stated my respect for laff fans on sticking through all the years(and there's lots of em) of sucking. The laff management and ownership has been a joke since the last cup, many, if not all of you have expressed this yourselves. Bad decisions have been made for years, again, many of you have stated this as well. Yes I'm not a laff fan, was once, but no more, as much as I respect your right to follow your team, I expect the same. The battle of Ontario has been going on for years, it isn't going to stop any time soon, so get used to it. You can continue in your educated support of the laffs and I'll go along in my uneducated ,dumb little way of being as annoying as a laff fan at Scotia Bank Place.

Sure I have, whatever you say! I would debate this but it's against NHL fan policy to argue with fans of teams who have not made the playoffs for 6 consecutive years.

What does being a laff fan have to do with being Canadian? There are plenty of other good Canadians who are fans of other teams, some even of US teams! See, that's where the Laff fan mentality irks non laff fans.

Sens fan, ex laff fan of 20+ years, so I guess it has changed once KF, for the better I might add.
