Thats why I was thinkin about a pulley up front I can sit in the back and let go. I not gettin any younger and the anchor seems to be heavier than it used too.
I got a hose reel and attached it too the side of the boat and wrapped the rope around that. You cant retrieve the anchor with it but once you pull it in you can spool thr rope.
Ok George thx. I'm redoing the trailer and had to cut off the coupler as it was welded on going to replace it with a 2 inch also the guide ons were welded to the frame and I cut them too and will replace with bolt ons. I just pushed it in the basement to rewire and such. I may not be posting again cause when the wife see's it and craps her pants I may be killed. Lol the basements finished and I put a tarp down to protect the carpet but she might get annoyed.
I posted this question yesterday but can't find it so I'll try again. I'm redoing my trailer and I have 480-12 tires on it and was thinking of puttin 530-12 ties on instead my question is can I put the heavier tires on the old rims as they are still in good shape or will I need new rims also? If I missed my other post sorry for asking again but either I'm blind or it didnt appear on the board .
On my jon boat I got some thin aluminum 4X8 sheets. Then i cut them to fit. I got some 4x8 sheets of stryo foam 1and 1/2 inches thick and cut them to fit betwwen the ribs for floor support and floatation. Then I carpeted it. Looks good for a homemade job. This was over 20 years ago and it still holds up fine.
I kicked a rod and reel off the boat in 30 ft of water on gull lake in 1993. In 2000 I was jigging that same area and hooked what I thought was a tree branch I asked my buddy , ya suppose thats my rod and reel , we laughed but thats what it was.
lol Yea I've done the plug thing before . Cept I stuck the plug in the live well drain hole by mistake. thought it went in easy after the fact. To many buds the night before.
Mayfair pumps came in this tracker. They have the insertable cartridges also. Not sure how it over heated if it did in fact but I had a problem with a short in the front live well a few years ago and pulled the fuse and I use it for storage now, I may do the same with this as I never keep fish any way. The bells and whistles are nice when their workin but can be a pain.
