Muskie fishing is expensive, a quality net is $150-$200, a cradle is a cheaper alternative. Proper release tools, and HEAVY gear and at least 80# braided line and high quality leaders! Not having the proper gear can result in high post-release mortality, or pre-release mortality!

Go to Adventure Guide on King st in Waterloo, pick up the FRENCH RIVER Provincial Park map, they should have it, its the best map of the area you'll find.

8" bolt cutters on sale this week for $4.99!!! Every boat/angler should have a pair, at this price there's no excuse! These ones aren't high quality like KNIPEX, but much cheaper! Having a pair could save a fish thats badly hooked, or they might save you some pain and agony if you end up hooked yourself!

The back side of Boyd Island has many established campsites, might be tough to beat the Houseboats to them...And they leave their mess behind...As far as asking for help on the fishing, what is it you want to catch?
