What's your Must Have Checklist When in Bush
Woodsman replied to mirogak's topic in General Discussion
Yes for back country camping where help is not readily available a full first aid kit is required. Training on how to perform first aid is also very important. I'll second that. -
The 45 days doesn't apply to the operator but the boat. Unless the boat leaves Canada for a full calender day the clock doesn't start over.
-
Also misleading. Only applies if they are operating their own boat registered in their home country. No good for a boat they own which is registered in Canada, or a boat owned by someone else (ie: father or other family member or friend)

How often and how far do you plan on towing? Also which motor are you planning on getting? Also is the 2700 lbs you posted a scaled weight or from specifications? Your 2700 lbs may not include fuel, accessories and fishing gear. Trailer brakes would be a good idea. Long & frequent towing will not be the best for this vehicle especially with the 2.0 litre motor.
-
Then the property manager acting as the owners agent would be correct. No permission.
-
An important question in the original question is do the farmers actually live on the property? If they do than they are the occupiers & have far more authority than if they just rent the field for farming. Unless specifically prohibited by the rental contract the decision would be the occupiers. If they do not live there, than they in most cases would only have the right to farm the land.

Where are you getting this about muskies?? I suspect Bull
-
Bull Under the regulations all that is required is a "black and white photo copy or printed version of an electronic copy of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Accessible Parking Permit along with proper identification in their name issued by Canada or a Canadian Province in their name with birth date. See the Ministry for an electronic copy.

I guess I could have also said " Push faster you young whippersnapper, I'm not paying these outrageous prices for less than quick service".
-
So if I went to a car dealer to put on 13" rims on my car that has 16" rims then according to you it would be fine if the only way they could make them fit is to weld them to the rotors & that would be OK because I asked for them. Note to self. Only deal with professionals who have a clue what their doing & are not afraid to say "that won't work" instead of "let's see the money".
-
Of course that's wrong. We're talking seniors here. Many short ones hopefully at a somewhat reasonable pace would be the right answer. That's what I'm practicing for.

2 or 4 stroke SeaFoam is great. It has stabilizer built in plus cleans the carb. I use it in all my motors 2 or 4 stroke including vehicles. In vehicles a couple times a year but small engines all the time.
-
Not necessarily. If it's a camping trailer then no certification stickers required. Some how the RV industry have got an exemption to the certification requirements. A boat, horse or utility trailer that size requires yearly certification of both trailer & tow vehicle.
-
I take it you actually mean it was reading 13 volts after charging with the charger disconnected. A little on the low side. Leave the battery for a couple days & then check out what voltage it's at. If it's dropped from 13 volts to any major degree then it is not holding a charge. Battery is gone. BTW: Deep cycle batteries are better being charged by a lower amp charger (ie: 2 amps) over a longer period of time.

Other than the safety issues & being hard on your truck, if it's over your vehicles rated capacity your looking big fines if stopped. Your insurance will bail out on everything they can if there's a claim.
-
Then you'd have no problem if the US spent their taxpayers money cleaning up & scraping that ship.
-
What does this have to do with an outdated, worn out fishing trawler scheduled for scraping that was washed out to sea during a tsunami. The ships you referred to are in far better shape & mothballed.
-
Can you define decent prices. With meal plans the price will jump quickly. $2000 - $2400 dollars for a week for 3 with meal a plan may be a decent price to some but not to others. House keeping (cook your own meals) will keep costs down & open up many more options. Finding a place (first week of Aug) may also be somewhat limited due to a lot of the better places may already be booked.

Only one down side to it Terry. MONEY The Canadian fisherman that claimed the salvage rights on inspection relinquished them do to the condition of the ship which would not allow him to make a profit. He estimated it cost him $10,000 in fuel just to take his boat out to check the vessel. I seen him interviewed on TV.

Most eyes in Erie run to the west end of the lake & then up to the Thames to spawn. Generally not a good spring bite. Good bite moves east as the year progresses.
-
Save your money. Spend a little more & you'll be far happier. For between $100 - $150 you'll get a unit 10 X more capable. A new $100 unit today is better than a $300 unit from 10 years ago. More power, more pixels and better processor. The $36 unit you posted list none of these specs. Screen size is also quite small. About 2" by 2".

Maybe some of your work sources can give you some insight into him?

The ORV requires helmets. It also refers to drivers or those who ride on or on a conveyance towed by an ATV. If a rider was not legal than why would they require helmets for those not drivers but riders? Helmet 19. (1) No person shall drive an off-road vehicle or ride on an off-road vehicle or on a conveyance towed by an off-road vehicle unless he or she is wearing a helmet that complies with the regulations, securely fastened under his or her chin with a chin strap. R.S.O. 1990, c. O.4, s. 19 (1). Taken from: http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_90o04_e.htm

Panorama camp on the Northwest Bay of Lake Nipissing. http://panoramacamp.com/ Bass & pike fishing is nearby with a little further to go for walleye in the summer.
-
Where are you getting that from? Nothing in the ORV Act prohibiting it off road. On the roads where legal to operate an ATV is another story. There you can be fined under the HTA.
