I have a napier suv 82000 tent. I enjoy it for car-camping for versatility. It is meant for use with SUV, it's not one that uses a pick-up truck bed. It can function as a stand-alone tent. Then it has a sleeve that can wrap around an open SUV hatch. It can be tightened to keep the bugs out, even has a screen door if there are bugs. Pros: - you can sleep in the car, or sleep in the tent; the tent feels so much roomier with the suv attached; the tent can function as a stand-alone tent by zipping up the sleeve and driving away; its much easier to grab stuff from the car when you don't need to go outside; if a bear comes you can jump in the car; its a nice tent even without the connection - i've slept 4 comfortably, and i can stand up easily inside. Cons: - you cannot leave the car running; you have to let the exhaust cool before putting the sleeve on; there is chance bugs can wiggle through the sleeve or come in from the suv; it can be difficult to park the car in the exact location if you want to reconnect the car after leaving; takes a little longer to set up; quite a large and heavy tent

I've used bloodrun and raven. i like both but prefer bloodrun for ease of use and raven for value. Maybe you need to re-spool your line tighter? could it be digging because the line is not wound tight enough?

It's not seen much in Canada but its a high-end offering similar to Abu Garcia's Villain with 40-ton carbon graphite but with a much better warranty. My go to when the bite is tough is a senko. For weeds you either want to wacky rig with a weedless hook or texas-rig with or without weight depending on depth and wind.

For the weekend warrior, where fishing time is like gold, electronics can mean a world of difference - especially if exploring new waters. Having waypoints on my Navionics app is the single best invention i've discovered - makes ice fishing a lot easier on the arms.

Ridiculous. That's like having toilet paper with the directions written on it.

I haven't tried it, but your structure sounds perfect for a neko rig - wacky rigged senko with screwed-in weight.

I also use a fluoroleader. Plus i use mono backing. I learned the hard way that tying braid on straight is a bad idea - fishing in the rain, i was wondering why my drag kept slipping, turns out my whole line was turning on the spool. You can also tie a piece of electrical tape, but by using cheaper mono, i can make my spool of braid last longer. Just remember to hide the knot (i like putting it on the back edge of the spool.

I think there are mental health issues at work here. I find that in this time of increased social media, people are feeling more lonely than ever. It is easy to get sucked into believing what society wants you to believe (ie. the materialistic and superficial). There is usually some unresolved anger issue at the heart. Sometimes I wonder if that is a tipping point, when if this individual had a kind person to realign him, things might be different. I agree with tougher sentencing, but it means nothing if the perpetrator's life means nothing to him/her.

You are right AK. I tend to favour the Lowrance, like Terry. I was blown away when comparing prices for HDS vs Solix. Personally i went with Lowrance+MotorGuide vs Hummingbird+MinnKota. I would have loved Lowrance+MinnKota but these companies play hard ball.

I like the slot. The alternative to a slot, is lowering the limit and 4 is a good number. I read somewhere that 80% of walleye are kept, much higher than any other fish. No wonder there is trouble finding in-slot walleye on some lakes. I'm not sure exactly why the numbers are going down, i'm guessing its due to walleye spawning in the same areas and more and better fisherman (with electronics) knowing these spots.

The new Hobie has reverse so Pelican is copying the earlier version of the hobie mirage drive. There are lots of pedal style kayaks coming out in iCast. It is good to have some competition. Hobie really is over priced.

Why special? It's because sometimes finesse fishing works best when the bite is off. Its a combination of a do-nothing baits like senkos + small plastic on jig + shakeyhead. The difference with a special ned jig is that it's 1) light, like 1/15 oz or even lighter and 2) thin gauge and large (for the weight) hook for rigging 3 inch baits. I've tried this year on a tough bite and it got me fish when other techniques weren't working. I tried with a senko, but the Z man plastics that float are supposed to make a big difference. Those new iCAST TRD CrawZ look amazing.

Hummingbird if you have iPilot Link, i don't think the compatible Hummingbirds can be called "reasonably priced". If iPilot Link is not important to you, Lowrance sonars are reasonably priced (Hook 7 in the current or previous generations are reasonably priced. Or Elite TI for touch screen.

What is the impact of this high water temp? Warm water holds less oxygen, so the fish will either have to go deep or find vegetation like pads? Warm water should increase activity too since bass are cold blooded. Maybe the trick is to fish early mornings or late evenings.

Went by the Midland store yesterday and they're selling for $6.49. Mostly crawfish, some sunfish, shad, smelt.

I have a Elite 4x and I have similar issues in 100' water, with my jig disappearing halfway down. I chalked it up to current pushing the jig out of the cone but I always suspected it was something else. I usually required some tinkering with surface clarity and noise reduction to improve the scan. I don't understand why surface clarity would affect my sonar strength 80' down but it seemed to have happened. Try to keep clarity and noise reduction at lowest possible settings. Frustrating... sometimes i play with the sonar more than i fish..

Moisture wicking base layer to keep the sweat off the skin. I wear a pair of fleece pants on top mostly because I prefer not to walk around wearing black tights! Don't wear cotton/jeans, synthetics and wool are good for keeping the sweat away esp if you sweat a lot.

I spoke to them at the Show, they mentioned they will be hand pouring the lures, resulting in a softer plastic.
