  1. no sir, I guess I was just assuming this dude meant the east tribs. Its messy out here, very messy
  2. Nope, sorry bud. NOT fishable in your wildest dreams. I hit three tribs today, dangerous and unfishable. Stay in bed, give it three days or so and it should br prime
  3. I have no fishfinder, sonar, GPS any of that crap. I catch fish...
  4. Im gonna say no... I have driven over it past that point (I believe) and its pretty small and shallow) Great lake for fishin though!
  5. Good luck, if it rains enough to bust the ice out its gonna be blown till its cold again.
  6. cant pick just one, everything I pull out of the creek looks nice
  7. 30 lb PP If finesse is needed fire up a flouro lead and youre golden
  8. Cool, I need something to store my float/fly rod setups, I have a wall mount rack that doesnt fit my three piece float rods because I set it up so that my summer 6' to 8 ' combos could sit in there and the three piecers are too short. hmmm mom is starting to get upset that there is so many rods in the living room against the wall (14' ceiling)
  9. I agree. Every time I see that picture I have nightmares for a week!
  10. I can take those off your hands for you... I have a Ross world Industries 8 wt thats beggin to see some steel!
  11. If a flock of cormorants walked in front of my car, Id forget where the brakes were.
  12. I think I should get credit for solo's reports. I mean after all, I DID teach him everything he knows. There were also those stainless steelheading series, that were quite entertaining, and anything that my mug showed up in should be up for review as well!
  13. Moose as well. We shall give the title to both of them, its a tie.
  14. 1. solopaddler 2. solopaddler 3. solopaddler nuff said
  15. for anyone that has never given rockbass a try, its time you do.
  16. yep. Im jealous. I beat the snot out of the east this week, with two lost fish (DOH) to show for it. Well thats not true, I landed about 100 on one river...only 2 were longer than 12 inches! haha
  17. Nice CC I was out yesterday too, Lost one fish and man the waters were prime! Headin back out right now, gonna be a cold one but I think the clearing water might be prime at the lower end of a certain river
  18. One of the collection, yes. Thats an older model HMX, way better butt section then the new ones. I love it when the water is lower and the fish cant bust my balls in the current, its probably my favourite rod to fish with even though it is not the most expensive or most powerful one I have
  19. Where is douG, he is the resident rocket dude
  20. my waders got a hole...I used shoe goo and put em back together. No one will ever convince me to buy $600 waders, because they are just as easy to rub with sand/gravel or snag on a wire as the cheap ones. good luck with them, I hope they get fixed up quick
  21. There is a rock shelf on buckhorn lake coming off of scotsman point that eats many boats every year. I spend a week there every year and in the past 10 years that I can clearly remember, at least one boat has ended up toast because of them. The best part? The channel is clearly marked with a red bouy about 300m off the point, and the rocks are bouyed as well. Two years ago I watched someone roll in with their big truck and brand new triton. The guy blasted off at top speed completely ignoring the fact that you have to go AROUND the bouy to leave the bay and ripped his outboard off on the rocks. Idiot. You are lucky to be telling us this story, definately a lesson for all involved. Boats and darkness can result in crap like this lol. I have also heard of boats smashing into new peirs etc that arent loaded into the GPS units yet?
  22. Easy one for me, It was a solo steelheading trip (most of mine are) and one of my best days on the river ever. Put up really decent numbers of fresh fish and they had a TON of fight in late march. This monster steelie took my jig like no other, float SLAMMED into the water and the fight was on. Being the fool that I am I had brough the ten and a half foot fenwick that I love to death, but it just doent have the backbone for big fresh fish. This beast dragged me downstream and upstream and was the hardest fight I have seen from a steelie. Too bad I couldnt get a picture of me holding it, but here she is on a crappy cell phone picture.
  23. Lookin good Mike. Me, Dave and his buddy beat the crap out of the east on sunday, worked REAL hard and tossed everything in the books into perfect water conditions with ZIPPO to show for it. Well two tiny buggers and a beauty hen that was lost. and an IMX that was almost snapped like a twig too, geez
  24. haha, improve casting distance. right.
