  1. It wouldn't matter if those rules were in place, there aren't enough CO's to inforce them anyhow..
  2. Case in point, I hit the Geen last wednesday and thought I had a decent setup going until Mike came down and laughed at my rigging :) Nothing helps more then time on the water, and getting tips from seasoned vets never hurts! Oh the curse of a river that is called the Notty. That's one river that's owned me every single time I've wet a line with my float setup.
  3. River flow, temp, etc etc. Reading the Geen isn't a very simple task compared to some of the ditches around Toronto..
  4. Dobee, love the handles on your pin Did they come with it or were they something you added later?
  5. Epic!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. lookinforwalleye: My buddy had a Maxima and he had all 4 tires recalled and replaced without issue. I would push a bit further and see what happens.. The VQ35 is a tank, great engine, great reliability... If I was looking for a full size car, the Maxima would be on the top of my list.
  7. Roy, I only dabbled when I had to I think grade 4 and grade 9? lol
  8. Je nais parle pas francias!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Eric, you don't need a floatrod setup man!!! It looks like you have everything already dialed in :)
  10. Crank down the tensioner so the plug barely pulls line off the spool. When you get better, loosen it up a bit
  11. This thread is full of fail.
  12. I got lucky and only soaked my coat. It wasn't very deep, but I ended up tripping over a big boulder and that was it. Scary feeling having your feet come out from under you, trying to regain your footing... The weather cooperated and Mike was there to offer up some dry clothing Can't ask for better company I tell ya!
  13. If we only could have had a few more inches of vis I doubt we would have left the first spot. I am sure the fish were stacked up, but unless you were smacking them ontop of the head with golf balls, they were uncooperative. That little dip I took wasn't to much fun, lol. Gotta get myself a wading staff.. Ferg and I didn't break out the camera at all today, just the ziplock bags for the golden candy I was going to follow you downstream, looks like I should have!! Can't wait to hit that place when the conditions are prime, with the amount of fish in that system, I can't imagine what it's like...
  14. Good job Fidel!!!! I went for a swim yesterday It was cold to say the least.
  15. I find the included siwash a bit to big for the #0 and #1 spinners. I bought some smaller ones at BPS and replace all of the trebles on my spinners with siwashs for trout. Also pinch down the barbs!!!
  16. Still looks a bit blown.
  17. I'm sure if we stocked a million fingerlings into the tribs every year we wouldn't care either.. The fish you are catching are mostly stocked fish for the most part, not so much up here. We have a natural sustaining population that people are very weary of.. Quality over quantity, hence the reason for people being tight lipped. BTW, I do enjoy fishing down there. People are extremely friendly and I've had nothing but great times.. You should stick around a bit, you wouldn't get many responses being a first timer and asking for spots or the such. Put some time in, make yourself a part of our community and you'll be overwelmed with the response you get from the members of this board. Just my $0.02 Canadian (What is that, $0.05US? )
  18. Picked up the same thing down at Gander Mountain about a month ago.. Seat, pedestal(34" range)and the mounting plate. I think the total was just under $100US... I also got my buddy to beef up the mounting plate at work.. can't wait to get it installed.
  19. Funny thing is, circle hooks have been around a loooong time.
  20. Mike, I have a couple of good shots of you in the middle of the river I cropped this one a bit...
  21. Dave that is a brute!!! Good job buddy!
  22. Someone told me this little secret once and it's worked pretty well. Attach the fly with 18-20inches of flouro to a small Williams Wobler spoon with the hook removed. Then attach the Williams to your mainline. Kinda like a small salmon flasher setup... F---flouro leader-------Williams Wobler-------mainline (Preferably 4lb mono at most for gin clear streams)
  23. Have one on our 15' Legend. No probs at all. A charge with a decent deep cycle marine battery lasts 2-3 heavy fishing days using the motor all the time... The foot pedal has a bit of getting used to. I gotta admit, I pick it up sometimes and use my hands, lol
  24. Chinese assembly and manufacturing started in '08.. If you are lucky you can still get your hands on something pre '08..
  25. Good job boys!!!! Sil, looks like you need to break out the razor kid
